    concert capacity at the FedEx forum in Memphis 19,000, hope they bring extra speakers, that is a large venue

    I just entered for Memphis, the only one I can make. I'll be flying from the East Coast and my first time to the area too so thanks for any advice to make it a smooth trip. If we get tickets, this will be my husbands first show and my birthday too. So excited!

    Yeah, large venue, week night show, lower demand market= plenty of tickets to go around.

    I've only been to Memphis once for about two hours. We stoped for lunch in our way cross country from charlotte to LA for Eddie in long beach and so my friend could win the showcase showdown on the price is right. It was a Tuesday at lunch. We went to dirty dryers I think was the man. It was amazing! There were two blues bands playin within walking distance in the park. I fell in love immediately and cannot wait to go back and spend some time there

    Much better than the Pyramid...that place was bad. It's primarily a basketball arena for the Grizzlies though.

    add another for Memphis!

    my first show was also 2000 in Memphis. caught them in '03 in Little Rock, AR and again last year in Dallas. i was unable to see the band for 10 years and now i get to see them twice in less than a year. this is fucking GREAT!!!

    it will be my wife's 2nd PJ show. she's been a fan since the early 90's and never had a chance to see them. after the Dallas show she was blown away at how amazing the band was live AND at how awesome all of the other 10 clubbers were around us at the show. CAN. NOT. WAIT!!!

    Crazy - am going to be in the South (first time ever in the US to boot) in October so am going to make the trip to Memphis to see the show and to be a complete tourist. Entered the lottery so we'll see. Can't wait!!

    Any tips on where to stay, where to eat, what to do?

    This show does seem like the major hub for those in the Southeast to hit up without too much travelling.

    Try Hampton Inn & Suites at Beale Street. Very nice and you can walk to everything.

    Count me in! I'm flying in from SoCal, definitely going to do the full Graceland tour and Sun Studios if there's time. I'll be coming alone so I'm hoping any meet up info will be posted here.
