At what show did you get your favourite ever PJ song?

Thumbing My Way at my 15th show in Charlottsville which could easily rank as my favourite show ever. Also because two other all time favorites were played the same night-Down and Sad....not to mention SOLAT (what a version)!

Any word on boots :corn:

    my first show..9/29/96...long road.. still my favorite moment. I was right in front of ed on the rail and they were in the middle of the first encore and he said off mic, "we don't know what to play next." he looked out into the sea of 33,000 people and I swear to god on my kids his eyes stopped at mine. I mouthed "long road" and then the d chord started. It still blows me away when I think of it. Great great night.

    Philly 1, Long Road. I actually got Long Road back in 2003 in Mountain View, California but it wasn't my favorite at the time and in all honestly I don't even remember it all that well.

    When I heard that first note in Philly, man, it was quite the goose-bump inducer! And then they played it again at Hartford. I also got Leash at Philly 1 which is pretty high up on the list as well.

    P.S. Black is really my over-arching favorite, but that's not fair because it is the greatest song ever written. 8-)

    Pretty sweet that Given to Fly is my favorite PJ song for many reasons, one being in this regard--easy to hear live! First time hearing was MSG 2 2010, and I've heard it at every show since (total 7/8 shows)

    Well, as weird as it mite seem, after 81 shows I've never heard my "new" fav pj song Getaway. I know, it's new but I'm 0/4 for it this tour. This song is the 1 for me after all these years. First time I ever heard it on a cd someone gave me before it came out, fucken just grabbed me in a strange way. I felt like I did back in HS when I first heard Alive. But this new song means so much to me inside. Idk, whatever, fucken ROCKS! 8-) blah blah blah

    My first favorite Pearl Jam song was Black. It was THE song I had to see live. And I got to listen to Black during my first show ever, at Saratoga, on Aug 27th 2000. (I also got Wishlist and Betterman, two other favorites).

    Another of my favorites at that time, and which still remains a favorite today, was Nothingman. I got to listen to that during my third show, at the Tweeter Center on Aug 30th 2000. (Where I also got Footsteps and Release!)

    Gone was a song I wanted to hear, and so was Inside Job. I got Inside Job as an opener at Dublin, 2006. I think I cried (I'm pretty sure I did). I also got Gone at that show, and Indifference as well!! That was the last time I ever saw Gone live. They also did the it's OK tag on Daughter. Awesome show. In my top 10 for sure.

    Crown of thorns is another favorite, I got that one at the Reading Festival, also in 2006.
    In hiding, I have always loved that one. I heard it first live in Belgium (Antwerp 2006).
    Immortality was and is a favorite, I got that one for the first time at Wembley Arena in London, 2007.
    Off he goes... finally saw this one on the second night in Manchester, 2012.
    Hard to imagine... finally heard i at Berlin 2012.


    The one favorite, which is still missing for me, is All or None. That has become my holy grail. I love that song to tears. Hopefully one day I will have the immense joy of seeing it live.

    Release - PJ20 at Alpine Valley.

    What an experience. This was back in the old lottery days, and I won lottery 9th row front and center the first night. Quite possibly one of the best performances of this song. The energy and vibe was out of this world and electric. Where I was sitting (9th row front and center), I literally did, and I mean this, feel like I was lifted off of the ground during "I'll ride the wave.......WHERE IT TAKES MEEEEEE!!" line. All of that energy rolled down the hill and lifted me up. It was so loud, Ed's voice was drowned out pretty much the entire song. Incredible, incredible experience.
