Sadly my list was pretty small this year:

The Tragically Hip- Marrymore Park, Seattle
    The Weakerthans- MacEwan Hall, Calgary
    Wintersleep- The Warehouse, Calgary

I'm hoping to attend at least a couple more shows before the end of the year, and my New Years resolution for '08 is to beef up my concert resume.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

Next year is starting off promising though with Video Games Live in January (for our son : ) and Foo Fighters in February.

  • Wow, I don't think I could go a year without seeing a show... it's hard to go from one month of seeing 2-3 shows, then that dry spell of not seeing another show until 2 months later.

Haha, it's funny... I'm starting the year off with Band of Horses in January as well.
If I could, think I would give in.

May: My Chemical Romance (Bled opening) - Ottawa, London, for my daughter!
July: Summerfest - to see AFI
August: Lollapalooza (to see Pearl Jam, Patti Smith, Regina Spektor, Daft Punk)
Warped(to see Flogging Molly, Tiger Army) - Montreal
Projekt Revolution (mainly for my daughter to see My Chemical Romance, but I discovered Mindless Self Indulgence and instantly became a fan) Syracuse
September: Blaqk Audio - New York
    Blaqk Audio - Montreal
    Blaqk Audio - Toronto
October: Download Festival(The Cure, and AFI) The Shoreline
Tiger Army and Street Dogs - Philadelphia
Springsteen (the day after Tiger Army) - Ottawa (had to drive 600 miles that day - 400 home from Philly to drop off the kid, then over to Ottawa, then home. It was worth it.

I MAY go see The Street Dogs in Albany on Dec. 22nd, if the weather is good. Its too long a drive through the mountains to do in a whiteout.

It was an enjoyable year of shows.
