Based on the bands below that I am really into, which bands would you suggest I check out next? Some bands I've heard are pretty good are Wintersleep, Minus The Bear, The Kills, The Black Keys, Dredg, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, TV on the Radio, The Black Lips, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, The National, and Arcade Fire. Would you recommend any of those? If not, what band might I dig, given my interests in the bands below?

Wilco and Black crowes were the ones I got into. Wilco is amazing live seen them twice. I had a chance to see Black crowes, but it didn't work out. We couldn't stay for the show cause my friend had another radio station gig at 4 am the next morning, and the Crowes didn't hit the stage til midnight. We were right next to the tour bus, and then the driver realized he parked in the wrong spot and moved further back towards the stage and the band didn't come out of it until they had to.
I just recently listened to some Black crowes on Rhapsody and the live show my friend gave me, and really like what I have heard. Glad I finally gave them some proper listening time. Hopefully I'll see them live next time they are here. They just played Dallas and a Casino in Oklahoma, hopefully a Houston show in the near future.PJ: 10/14/00 06/09/03 10/4/09 11/15/13 11/16/13 10/08/14

Wintersleep.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0

Definitely check out The National and Arcade Fire.
Since you're a Wilco fan you might also want to try their predecessor, Uncle Tupelo.0 -
you have some very good bands on your list. here is how i rank them:
I dig these bands a lot:
Arcade Fire- funeral
Minus the Bear- highly refined pirates
The National- boxer
Dredg- Catch Without Arms
these bands are good:
Tv on the Radio- Return to Cookie Mountain (but spend 99cents and download starring at the sun from the desperate youth album it is fucking incrediable)
these bands are okay but i don't get very excited about them:
wintersleep
the black keys
the black lips
these bands imo are WAY overatted and are a fad or product of the hype machine:
Clap your hands and say yeah
vampire weekend
I don't know enough about these bands to say anything either way:
the kills- never took the time to listen to them.
MGMT -(does this stand for something maybe i know them but i'm missing the abreviationCharlotte 00 | Charlotte 03 | Asheville 04 | Atlanta 12 | Greenville 16 | Columbia 16 |Seattle 18 | Nashville 22 | Ohana Festival 24 x2 | Atlanta 25 x20 -

Ditto. They are as good as it gets right now, and don't let any of the close-minded folks on here convince you otherwise. If they want to be stuck in a brief period of musical history for the rest of their lives, that's their loss.It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.0 -
2 bands i never seen mentioned on this forum (either because people think they suck or have never heard of them):
