If you head over to http://www.blessingandacurse.com they've put up some links to various podcasts featuring the band, and some of the new tracks.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

  • A DBT-related item: I finally watched the movie CHRYSTAL today, written and directed by Ray McKinnon, starring Billy Bob Thornton and Lisa Blount.

Excellent film featuring a couple of DBT tunes. DBT has been a big supporter of Ray McKinnon's films.

Chrystal isn't for you if you like big, hollywood films - it's a character driven film that is wonderfully executed. Not fast paced, just a good character film - the type of film I'd like to make someday...

I really hope these guys tour Canada for this album. It's been a while since they last visited, and even then I think they only played Toronto and Montreal. I think a nice full-scale Canadian tour would be amazing. I've become a huge fan of this band over the past year and unfortunately the closest I've been to a live DBT show is their DVD. I NEED to see these guys live...and soon.

I will be seeing them down here in FLA in a few weeks... Once headlining and the next day at a festival thing.

I am interested in seeing how much they are playing from the new record.

I just noticed that a band called American Minor is playing with DBT on Saturday.

Haven't heard of them either. When I saw the Truckers last year in St. Petersburg, the opening band was 5 kids from Miami. And when I say kids I mean they were all 16 or younger. They kind of sounded like some kind of unholy Queensryche/GnR mashup. But really weren't that bad. They even had one of them come out and play guitar on Buttholeville, and he did a damn good job.

  • I sampled a few of their tracks on MySpace... the singer's voice and the music don't match... wanted to like it.... but didn't (that's not to say the singer had a bad voice...his voice was good...but it and the music didn't sound right together... a lesser Black Crowes sound...)

I didn't even think to check out Myspace...thanks for the heads-up.

Are you staying in Nashville on Saturday night? I'm leaving Paducah around 10:00 and meeting up with my friends around noon.
