Hinder, Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd, and emo all suck. Nickelbacks lyrics sound as if all the people on the jerry springer show decieded to write music lyrics.

Oh my God... I've literally gotten to the point where I break the rules and turn down the radio whenever that comes on at work. I am so goddamn sick of that goddamn piece of shit song.

have you seen the video? its a billion times worse. what he does with his hand pisses me off, its like lamar from 'revenge of the nerds', all of the sudden he has a limp wristed throwing style. i was amazed they found a couple hot chicks to be in the video, however.

Here is the link to NPR's story about how worthless and unoriginal Nickleback is and how they constantly rip off their own songs...

Well wether you like their music or not is one thing, but to claim they are unorginal, now we're just being music snobs.

No. To claim that they are original is just naive.

  • The Staind Puddle Of Creed Calling were bad enough, but this band produce more cheese than the Emmental dairy.

They are the definition of unoriginal. They are the definition with what is wrong with rock...or should I say pop-rock these days!
    They are simply abysmal!!!

You're not going to find any love here for NickelStaindCreed. They blow.
    one foot in the door
the other foot in the gutter
    sweet smell that they adore
    I think I'd rather smother

No, you're right. They are original. Original in the way that they are THE most un-original band EVER!

Nickleback makes me ashamed to be Canadian.......I wish they were from some other country, bad enough we also exported Avril lavigne and Celine Deion.

Yeah, but you also gave us Rush, which makes the others forgivable ;)

Hey! Summer of 69 in a kick-ass song!
  • I was going to post the link to the Nickleback footage from Portugal.

    Absolutely priceless.

My favorite part is when the lead guy takes off his guitar, he feels the need to slide his fingers to the top of the neck as if to say to the whole crowd, "You guys just don't know what rock is! I know how to rock!"

Also, I go to Brown and there was a guy who was a SPITTING image of the lead Nickleback character. I used to laugh uncontrollably when I'd see him walk by in the dining hall...

    Unfortunately, he cut his hair.

Your post reminded me of something my daughter pointed out me a couple of days ago.

She YouTubed three hit songs for me:

    Creed--WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38Lu9Kfs0vM

    The Calling--WHEREVER YOU WILL GO
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDfj8BH6aos

    Nickelback--FAR AWAY
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=op9tWxu6I4E

They all sound really similar. She also YouTubed Pearl Jam's BLACK from MTV unplugged, and pointed out that the singer from the The Calling imitates a lot of young Eddie's vocal mannerisms.

That NPR expert would probably say that all of these songs are different, but I think that it is true that there is a certain sameness in what becomes a hit these days.
