HATE is an awful strong word.
Would I rather hear a different song on the radio? Yeah.
If could hear 3 other songs at a live show other than daughter? Yeah.
Is it because it is a cliche to say "daughter" is your favorite song? Yeah.
Just like "Betterman", do you fast-forward until the 2:45 mark just to hear the tag rather than the entire song? Yeah.
Are there better PJ songs? Yeah.
Still dont hate the song; it's better than any Creed song.

Daughter was amazing on the 2000 tour. They took it to all kinds of directions with creative interplay and tags. Nowadays, I kinda agree its a showstopper, but thats only for me. Its a song many causal fans want to hear.
Daughter has also turned many people into Pearl Jam. I can tell you that much. When vs came out, daughter was a song reviewers highlighted and the one people were most excitied about.
It has done its job in the recruiting department thats for sure!I will swallow poison0 -

I'm not in the habit of wishing things away. I know I will probably miss them when they are gone.

What exactly is your point of view? Other then some sort of "frey" that has or has not been crossed all you really expressed was an opinion. An opinion that really has no merit other than being food for fodder for the message board. With that said, I will express my opinion and say that I think daughter is a cool song. Wow....I was unaware that my "opinion" was not allowed. Maybe I was blinded by all the other "opinions" on the board. It's my understanding that most threads are "message board fodder" or else they would have little business on a "discussion board"
