say you want to coil tap an sg, would you just buy special pots? if so, where? is there anything else? tha nks
they call them fingers, but i never see them fing. oh, there they go

Yes, you get a push pull pot as your volume (or two push/pulls, one for each volume, depending if you want to be able to coil tap both pickups) http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Potentiometers_and_push-pull_pots/3/Potentiometers_and_Push-Pull_Pots.html.
You can usually find these pots at your local guitar store. You just have to match the push/pull pot with the kind of pickups you have in the guitar (humbuckers use a 500k pot) - generally you'll need pickups with 4-wires and a ground (red, white, green, black, & bare - but most pickups are this configuration these days). I like these pots a lot, too:
Down there on the page where it says push push pots. You tap it one, and it's in, tap it again and it's out. That way it's a lot easier to switch on the fly.
There $16 and work great for me.
