What I would give for a 74x...mmmm....but way too much money and you would have to crank it to get that amazing tone
I've heard a few people get this amp, maybe I will check it out...i just dont think its a "true fender amp"....but I could be proved wrong
keeponrockin....skip the ycv80 (WAY TOO LOUD), I haven't heard too many good things about the Valveking2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20 -

Alright. I'm leaning either towards a Bassman or a Twin of some sort.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0 -

I'm in the same boat. What kind of overdrive would be good? A tubescreamer?Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0 -

I personally hated the TS-9. I sold it within the same week I got it.
If you got a strat I love the sound of the BD-2.
If you got a humbucker guitar the OCD works great.
The Menatone Red Snapper is my next overdrive I think. Either that or the Dirty Blonde (which sounds like that vintage fender od sound).
I personally can't say because I don't have as much experience with overdrive pedals as some people on here do. I also had the Boss DS-2....i liked it when I had my solid state but now with a tube amp it had to go! The Fulltone Distortion Pro was a nice pedal for that high distortion sound with a little crunch, just wasn't my sound.
You would probably like the Fulltone Fulldrive-2
The greedtone sounds nice too, which I think I might get once the next batch comes around.2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20 -

I love that Foxy Brown, it's different than the other 2 obviously but I think that would sound just great in front of a Fender amp."I Miss You Already!!!!!"

Peavey Valveking is decent. Just decent. For your money, you can probably spend $200 more and get so much more out of the amp.If idle hands are the devil's workshop, he must not be very productive.
