move it back two frets and switch the order, you got "Got me wrong" by Alice in Chains"Even if your heart would listen, I doubt I could explain"-Jimmy Eat World0
-
And so barre chords were born......and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0
-
            i always played F like this;
 1123xx
one less finger but makes it a little easier. only 3 fingers then0
-
            E--1--Index
 B--1--Index
 G--2--Middle
 D--3--Pinkie
 A--3--Ring
 E--1--Index
The F chord is the same as an open-E chord moved up one fret. Just barre the whole first fret with your index finger, and fill in as listed above. Once you learn the F chord, you can play any 6-string barre chord by moving the whole thing up and down the neck. Move it up two more frets, and that's a G chord. Up two more, that's an A....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0

that was one of the coolest things to learn... like, that moment right b/t where you don't know something and you do know something... that's cool. that was a great one...2003-04-15: Raleigh, NC

i still hate barre chords to this day. been playing a while now and i'm getting quite good but i often get a rattle on at least one of the barred strings. dammit!0

F is the bane of my existence. It's just wrong, it should be illegal. I could never play it and then I finally started to sort of be able to and that's the exact moment that I broke my first guitar string. So F is evil, evil I tells ya!I need a fix 'cause I'm going down
Down to the bits that I left uptown

I'm working on this, and I think you need a bionic index finger or have a steel plate planted in it."This guy back here is giving me the ole one more....one more back to you buddy."

Well, until you get used to the idea... try either the high 2/3 of the chord or the low 2/3 of the chord.
 Low:
 E--X
 B--X
 G--2--Middle
 D--3--Pinkie
 A--3--Ring
 E--1--Index
 High:
 E--1--Index
 B--1--Index
 G--2--Middle
 D--3--Ring
 A--X
 E--X
Barring the whole fret with the index finger will take time... mostly it's finger strength, but you need to develop the dexterity, too....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0

yeah, the F is pretty much evil. the B is a real bitch for me too. i can play both of them, it just takes a while to "setup".
having tiny hands with an acoustic doesn't help. oh well..0

So, what about a Bbm-maj7? Anyone?...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0

You forgot to make it minor... B-flat-minor, major-seventh.
I just tried to play that. Man, that's kinda tough....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0
