                    Anybody knows of a good book of exercises to learn acoustic guitar or lessons I could print from the net? I went to the bookstore and wasn't sure of what would be best for a beginner

 I suggest you find some kind of chord chart and learn basic chords. That's the most fun to begin with.My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0

 If you want to spend the $10, I'd say it's worth it... Hal Leonard books are the best out there in my opinion, and it'll give you a very good foundation to start off from... after this book you can pretty much learn on your own if you'd like...Make Movies. Don't make Videos. Videos are evil.0

            Ahh... and I don't know of any places where you can just download lessons (I'm sure such a place exists somewhere), but here are pretty much all the chords...
