yeah the christian band guys usually have tons of money. Most of those acts have a church and all the money they give behind them. I think I'm going to buy my parent's church a new mixer for christmas, they need 16 channels any suggestions? I'm tired of looking at that old 1970's mixer they have and they don't know enough to change it.
Well, I recommend the Allen & Heath Mix Wizard. $1000. It's the absolute bomb. God mixes on Allen & Heath. Actually, that's not too far from the truth... Allen & Heath have become AMAZINGLY popular with houses of worship.
Anyone catch that South Park with Cartman's Christian Rock experiment?...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0 -

didn't want to spend that much. Maybe 600My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -
You want 16 mic channels? Or how many?
Mackie's 1604 and 1642 are great, but they're about $750 and $850. The CFX 12 and CFX 16 are decent; same Mackie pre's, but somewhat awkward routing. Spirits (by Soundcraft) are good, too....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0 -

It's a church with a mixer from the 70's any mic pre would do.My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -

What kind is it? Some of those old beater consoles have really good pre's for recording, just need cleaned and refurbished...
Anyways, a Mackie CFX 16 would probably work out well for you:

Maybe a CFX 20:

The CFX 16 has 12 mic channels and two stereo-line channels, the CFX 20 has 16 mic channels, and two stereo-line channels....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0 -
