epi biscuit resonator

so if i were to get an epi biscuit (i quite like them. played a couple) how would i go about putting a pickup in it?

    good question. I'd say some sort of Lav mic.

    i could be heinous and put a dog ear P90 in if it cleared the strings.

    i'll have to talk to my dealer and find out how much he'll give me for my strat first. the biscuit is cheap though. but i really liked it.

    now, do i actually have a use for this sound?

    the PH-3 is back up. Perhaps by january I'll have a delay.

    Back to the original question...

    That Fishman seems great, and would work well for lo-fi settings (coffeeshop, demo recording, etc.) but you'd probably want to use or supplement some small-diaphram condenser, too. Something like an SM81 would be perfect, to capture that wonderful transient response and harmonics... just a note for future reference.
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

    thanks man. i'm going to have to throw one of my guitars into open tuning and try to see what i can actually do with a slide before i drop into this. but it just might be fun.

    This is like me and the Epiphone J-160... I probably don't need one, and I can't justify spending money on one, but they're so damned cool!

    luckily, the shop doesn't have one right now. only a full-metal fender reso which i don't think i want.

    i love the fact that all i need is a new NUT to flip these things to lefty.
