really really loud. tons of gain. maybe twice that of my stock SD-1. and yeah, you can crank the level and just add a bit of hair to the edges with it. so nice.0 -
transparent too right no mid hump like with a TS?My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0

yeah, no loss of lows and the highs are up to you and the tone knob.
it honestly doesn't sound as good in front of my deluxe as it does in my POD but i'm still playing with the settings.
i may need to use the sparkle drive when i'm using the deluxe still.0 -

Too much gain? how about the compressor. You like the way it sounds with you're single coils? I never want to turn mine off when it works anyway. My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -
the comp i love. it will be on for any picking i do. it makes the sound so much livelier.
i think i did have too much gain on the BD. came out fizzy in the deluxe. i'm working on it though.
i run the tone on all my overdrives around 9 o'clock and just adjst everything else from there. i like the brown sound.0 -

same problem with my rat2. I need more headroom on my amp and I need it to get cleaner. however the Direct Drive does that nicely. My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -
when i get the pharoah, that'll take care of the drive in my deluxe. but honestly, i'm planning on gigging with the POD at all times anyway.0

no loop in the deluxe right? do you run the pod strait in and if you do you just run effects before and set the pod on top?
Pod sounded outstanding in headphones when I owned one but didn't do well in front of my fender. I'm wondering about what it would do with the orange. My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -
no loop in the deluxe.
i used the tube preamp model and put it in front of the dry channel.
thing i found was that it introduced a small hiss into the amp ragardless of which channel was active. which wouldn't matter for live but is unusable for studio. probably has to do with the high gain of the POD. if i could bypass the preamp on the deluxe for that channel it would be perfect probably.
i love my POD direct into my recorder and when i used it direct into a PA, it was fine. i'm going that route from now on if it's just me playing solo shows.
i actual want to find a second one for back-up.0 -
perhaps I should get a pod to record now that I've got a recorder. I'd love to have a rack get a pod pro, a mod pro, and alesis reverb delay maybe a joe meek or dbx compressor along with a sonic maximiser. Yeah. That'd be cool to record with.
And for Acoustic, a Martin HD-28 an Avalon tube preamp and a Bayer or Royer ribbon mic. perhaps a neuman......
I'll put the whole set up in the garage next to my Ferrari and Ducati. My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -
i'm going to build a rack.
-ART PB4x4 power conditioner. just arrived. cheap.
-behringer composer pro compressor/limiter (already own). one channel for vocal mic. one channel for acoustic guitar.
- presonus blue tube preamp (already own). one channel for mic. one channel for acoustic guitar.
line6 POD in a sliding drawer. stereo for electric. i want a POD Pro but ultimately, my POD does the job. i will buy a backup though. i hate the feel of the XT so i'm going to find another PODV2.0.
6-space SKB case and a sliding drawer and i'm good to go.
if i need more power, i'll rent a mesa power amp and a cab.
get the duoverb. it's got XLR outs. you'll be in recording heaven especially given that you live in an apartment.0 -
i guess I could run the xlr out to the xlr mic in on my BR-532My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0

i would think so.
big disadvantage of my tascam, it's all 1/4" unbalanced inputs.0
