maybe it will be a greatest hits show, maybe it will be a all rarity show.....thats the beauty of this band, you never know what the night holds in store for you....but whatever it is, you know you're gonna rock your ass off !!

if the people in the orchestra are going to be chilling doing nothing, then they're going to have to deal with me dancing and singing all over the place

you are right, Robin Hood will probably just give these tickets away to their larger donors for free, but they won't be appreciated. I am not a huge Allman fan but I sat on the side of the stage at a show at the Beacon 5 years ago and it was amazing, great venue. I hope this concert is awesome and I am wrong since I do plan on being there.0 -

Sounds kind of lame...
When is this show, before or after MSG? If it's before, that's really not cool to the MSG attendees to expel energy on the "fancy people" that can afford to donate.
How much were these tickets? $2500 for orchestra and $250 for balcony?
One last question: Will they be hanging the Verizon text message screens on the Beacon stage?ABQ 93, Las Cruces 95, ABQ 98, Bridge School 10/30/99, Lubbock 00, ABQ 00, Denver 03, State College 03, San Diego 03, Vegas 03, PHX 03, D.C. 03, Camden 7/5/03, NYC 7/8/03 + 7/9/03, Vegas 06, San Francisco 7/15/06 + 7/16/06 + 7/18/06, Kansas City 10, [EV:ABQ 11/6/12], Chicago 13, PHX 13, Denver 14--PJ24!, Telluride 16, Chicago 8/20/16, Chicago 8/18/18, Phoenix 22, Denver 22, Vegas 5/16/24

I'd have to agree with that. When I saw they were playing there I couldn't believe it. Great theatre for a show...especially them!

I just got off the phone with Lucy and there are still plenty of $2,500 tickets available. I also have a friend that is going with his work tickets (8 of them) and he said the people with him will know 3 songs from Ten and be on their Blackberries the rest of the concert. I think the majority of the board will be rocking out in the balcony but not sure that the band will be putting on their usual performance with a ton of lame and bored people sitting in their seats front and center. Obviously just my opinion and with that being said I plan on being there and hope I'm wrong. Still looking for a ticket.
huh?
my enjoyment of a show is NOT dependent on those around me at ALL. sure, i totally get how the band feeds off the audience, etc...but i also believe pearl jam is WELL aware of who will be in the audience, and that does included ALL the fans who may not be front and center. i am sure the band can and WILL feel the collective energy of all the fans present. in a 3K seat venue, it will not be difficult for that vibe to flow from band to fans and vice versa.
seeing pearl jam at the beacon = priceless. period.i KNOW i will not be let down.

The only thing that's going to suck is a bunch of hip New York people will be sitting in the best seats. But if that forces the Olsen twins to give $2500 (each!) to charity instead of buying a new handbag or whatever, it can't be all bad.
The other thing is it's the night after Mansfield II, so Ed's voice might be a little sore. An acoustic set would be sweet.*Does not include encore of Garden and Leash.0 -
