  • i like hearing it live, though it gets kind of annoying when he screams
"...i make the arches stinkin arches stinkin grease and bones"
lol, ya he does already repeat the first line for some reason
  • i think i like the live version better I just love the fact that it seems more aggressive and intense live

i do however, very much like the studio version also

Love the version from Seattle II in 2000 ......incredibly intense and then at the end it blends very soulfully into the start of Not For You!

    Lukin is cool...The song...and...The man

I got to meet Matt just before Mudhoney went on at The Horseshoe on Friday...he was a really really cool dude.

Mudhoney kicked major ass that night too!!

  • I love me some Lukin.

    Especially live!!!

It's always such an exciting moment when you realize they are busting out some Lukin!

    :)

"...i make the arches stinkin arches stinkin grease and bones"

    I know. :D

I spent a long time getting the timing and the words to that exact line exactly right and now he never ever ever does... at least it doesn't seem like he ever does.

    That's ok though. :)
  • I just can't get into that song. It's a nay for me.

    *Don't hurt me*
  • Yay
And I'm not living this life without you, I'm selfish and clear
And you're not leaving here without me, I don't wanna be without
My best... friend. Wake up, to see you could have it all
  • YAY!
It's like a 1 min shot of energy. I love all forms of it.
And I really liked it on Immagine In Cornice mostly because Ed and Mike looked like they were having a so much fun playing it.

I have to say I really don't enjoy this song live.

I actually quite like the album version, but whenever the guys play it live it just really doesn't do it for me.

    What do other people think?

    lukin is great...

    in the studio
    live
    acoustic
    subtitled
    karaoke

    :D

    Hell yeah!
Oh he fills it up with the love of a girl...
  • yay!!!!!!! i love this song i just wish there were more verses. too short. but........... im not so keen on live versions i agree with comments made earlier-i hate to admit this but its true. eddie just screams the shit out of it and the words become a blur, sounds like he needs to clear his throat, and the guys tend to play it super fast and its short enough as it is. this is the worst thing ive ever said about the best band on the planet but hey, everyone needs a little criticism.

  • lukin is certainly a top five 'gritty' tune in my books...live or studio, that being said the live versions' pace is a bit quicker...

I liked that they played Lukin at Benaroya Hall. Probably the best version I have heard live.
