Are they just a stadium band now?nicknyr15 said:

last tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Joshua Tree, they did stadiums. for I&E it was Arenas. Its most likely gonna be market and season for the tour dependent.0

They did arenas after JT30 for E/I as well.Tim Simmons said:last tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Joshua Tree, they did stadiums. for I&E it was Arenas. Its most likely gonna be market and season for the tour dependent.
We won't know for sure until they announce, I get the sense they prefer to do productions for arenas, but demand will be there for stadia, Live Nation who is basically their management now will likely push for a stadium tour. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
I have no doubt it’ll be stadiums. Hope im
wrong.0 -
I'm thinking stadiums too. LiveNation doesn't like to leave money on the floor. Only so many veteran rock bands of that calibre still touring. It was one of the reasons we went to the Sphere a few years back, it's seating capacity is similar to an arena, so kind of nice getting to see them play that instead of a stadium.0

But what is considered a great Stadium for a concert? Certainly none here in NY I’d maybe go to Citifield in Queens! You just lose so much sound in outdoor venues instead of an Arena, will see how they approach the next tourjesus greets me looks just like me ....0

With the way medium acts are being pushed up to Arenas now, I think U2 will do stadiums as well for this tour.0
-
I'll be shocked if U2 doesn't play Stadiums.0

It's a money thing, not a quality thing.I'd prefer Arenas, and I'm personally going to less shows because I'm not that big on stadium shows.0

None. Forest hills “stadium” is the best one in NY. Hahahajosevolution said:But what is considered a great Stadium for a concert? Certainly none here in NY I’d maybe go to Citifield in Queens! Easter Lily is in my opinion or should I say my personal opinion it’s the just as good or better than anything else they’ve done! I can’t wait for the Albumjesus greets me looks just like me ....0 -
I’m with you. And if you combine both eps you get a really solid album, especially for so late in a bands career.josevolution said:

There are no "great" stadiums for concerts. The larger the venue the worse the experience is.josevolution said:But what is considered a great Stadium for a concert? Having seen U2 in small venues up to big stadiums I speak from experience.
Just wait....if LN has anything to say about it people will be paying $500 to sit in the upper deck. Not me0 -

U2 has traditionally kept some prices reasonable, usually GA has been pretty cheap (and by far the best value), then they get expensive for lowers and a bit more reasonable in the so-called cheap seats (both in arenas and stadiums in the past 2 decades). Will be interesting to see if that changes this time around as they have not yet toured post Covid.Bentleyspop said:

Even at Sphere, GA was the 2nd lowest price tier (though not cheap) and folks sitting in the lower sections paid a lot more than GA.
I believe Sphere was the first time U2 shows had Platinum tix and dynamic pricing (they had employed some VIP ticket packages previously but not "Platinum"), so that's a bad sign moving forward if they allowed it there. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
Yep I def want to catch 1 show next tour whenever that happens, I’ll allow myself to splurge a bit! These songs are worth it to me.Poncier said:

I paid 250 for Sphere GA through fan club presale. I felt like that was a hell of a good value!Poncier said:

Looking at what they are charging for every other act there and the price to see a movie there, $250 to be in GA for U2 there is the bargain of the century. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
Same here, Had GA at the sphere, and GA pretty much any tour I saw after Popmart (nosebleeds at popmart was my motivation to try harder to get better tickets). A few of the tours either through random policy or waiting in line, we got into dedicated sections up close.GA is the bargain of being a U2 fan. I'm like why would you pay more than double to sit in the stands?
