Only downside I've experienced in the Ohana upfront section vs a typical 10C lottery pit ticket is that Ohana crowd can be less respectful, kind than your 10C members up front. In 2024 there were some pretty obnoxiously drunk dudes right next to us who had the idea to get way up front by plowing and shoving their way up. These guys were so trashed they could barely stand and had to lean on strangers to stand up - which as one might imagine, greatly annoyed everyone around him. Finally the most obnoxious one fell over from pure drunkenness and was carried away by his lesser drunk friends. Everyone cheered for their departure.MB30816 said:
I'm around your height. Occasionally I have lucked out with having short people in front of me in GA, but that's not common. If there is more than a few people in front of me on a flat GA floor (i.e. not angled), it means that I can't see around people's heads/shoulders. That affects my experience of the concert, so I typically prefer to be further back if I can't be really close. When I went to Ohana two years ago, I recall feeling very claustrophobic when I was closer to the front but not actually near the rail during the Devo set. We ended up choosing to move further back/off to the side to be more comfortable.TenDays said:
That is an excellent point. I'm 5'3". 🤔MB30816 said:
Agreed. If I'm more than perhaps 4 people back from the rail, I typically have trouble seeing over people's heads since I'm short. At that point, I'd rather be further back where it's less packed and I can actually see better. Only you can decide what is right for you and different people have different opinions on this.TenDays said:
Good info, thanks. I'm thinking that once you're more than a few rows back (20?), there's probably not much difference from being there versus anywhere else on site.Gern Blansten said:
Priority one is to see them...even if you are sitting on the bleachers in the back it's not a bad spot. Video screens do the trick and the sound is good.TenDays said:
Fffff... I think of myself as a relatively fit person with weightlifting and walking and dancing, but I'm not sure I have it in me to stand all day! I'm a new fan and have never seen PJ live, and I think it would be so fun to be toward the front for a concert!JG242853 said:
We did it in 2024. Be prepared to stand all day. We stood for Dog Star and worked our way up (without being jackasses) every act until we were about 10 rows back for PJ. As far as hours standing, I guess not too different than getting rail or row 2 for PJ at an Arena show.TenDays said:What does it take to get in the front 20 rows or so for EV and PJ at Ohana? Does it mean being at the front gate before 12:00, and then heading straight to the stage and claiming your spot and staying there until 8:00 p.m.? I see that towels aren't allowed after 4, so are you then standing from 4-10?
We have usually ended up standing on the walkway in front of the bleachers and had a good time there as it was a little higher than the grass
If you truly want to be on the rail or very close to it for PJ, you should be prepared to get in line for entry by around 6am on Sunday morning. You won't be able to leave the rail except for very short periods either and you'd need to communicate and befriend those around you to ensure that your spot is there when you return. Not trying to discourage you, but I want to ensure that you are realistic about what this commitment looks like.Randall's Island, NY 9/29/1996, Randall's Island, NY 6/8/1997 (Ed and Mike), Jones Beach, NY 8/23/2000, Los Angeles, CA 7/10/2006, Hartford, CT 6/27/2008, Los Angeles, CA 10/6/2009, San Diego, CA 11/21/2013, Los Angeles, CA 11/24/2013, MSG, NY 5/1/2016, Seattle, WA 8/10/2018, Los Angeles, CA 5/6/2022, Los Angeles, CA 5/7/2022, Camden, NJ 9/14/2022, St Paul 8/31/2023, St Paul 9/2/2023, Las Vegas 5/18/24, MSG NY 9/3/24, Philadelphia PA 9/9/24, Ohana CA 9/27/24, Atlanta, GA 4/29/25, Pittsburgh, PA 5/16/25, Pittsburgh, PA 5/18/250 -

This man is so good at the mystery marketing!! Look at the shirts on his site, and I'm like "hmmm, I don't love any enough to purchase." But put them in a mystery box and he can't take my money fast enough!Father Hubbard said:
Chris, I already have my Friday ticket and plans! No need to convince me 😎0 -
I've probably made five different wishes already, and I will be rocking out to literally anything the guys perform.
One of my wishes is for the entire Ten album from front to back. I thought that if they have a new drummer, why not start at the beginning? Or if they are bringing back a previous drummer, maybe they already know these songs? I saw that some of you track how long it takes you to hear the entire album Live, and I think 1 time would be pretty cool 😎. And it fits the 10-year anniversary theme, kind of.0 -

I wish they could have gotten Social Distortion for Sunday since they are around the area touring their new album then, but it would have been 5 nights in a row for them.0

I guess you can buy 3 day parking garage passes now. A bit further walk than the lot I parked at a few years ago but I'm wondering if I should go ahead and grab one.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Where are you seeing that? I can't find a link. All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.0 -
