Updated for 20! Man I adore this album. Such amazing stuff

I love the base line of Army Reserve. I love that "the Bear" featured Come Back. There are times I think Marker in the Sand is one of the most accurately cynical songs about religious righteousness, and I wish it sounded better live. I love how vulnerable Inside Job is.deb1211 said:

My dad was diagnosed with Glioblastoma ( brain tumor) on memorial day weekend 2007… he passed away On Dec 16 that same year… he knew that him wearing the Avocado shirt on our last trip together to San Francisco would mean a lot to me, I was struggling big time with this news… he lost weight with Chemo, I gained it by eating my stress away… he meant everything to me, his absence is felt everyday. When he passed the shirt went with him as well as a few other things…. We never got to see a pj show together but something amazing happened at msg n2 2024 as he was heavily on my mind… 100% was him , so I believe. My +1 on this evening knows cause I told her why I was bringing my Flag with me and then Ed points it out and with all the great stories I have through the band ( meeting them all few times, autographs, Tambo, McCready being sweet like he always is, front rows.. you name it… it’s been a blessing … that was the best. Thank you Eddie …. Whenever I see that Avocado I get to think of my dad. I eat lots of them
too, so it’s always happening 😎The album itself is one of my favorites and I cant believe it’s been 20 yrs… we are all old 😛
I shall spin it tonight and be grateful with Life and mindful to never ever forget all the great souls in this world.. and do not pay attention to the horse shit attention seekers as much… let em rot
I’ve experienced Magic on this journey that I can’t explain.. don’t ever lose hope and pick those up who are worth saving
peace & love

💔 I lost a close friend to glioblastoma 7/17/22. She joined Ten Club in '98, and she is why I joined and why i went to my 1st PJ concert. Her ashes are in a crypt at Congressional Cemetery in DC, and I happened to ask her husband to join me to pay respects yesterday. She lived 36 months after the tumor was discovered. It is a horrible way to go. I am sorry for your loss.CROJAM95 said:My dad was diagnosed with Glioblastoma ( brain tumor) on memorial day weekend 2007… he passed away On Dec 16 that same year… he knew that him wearing the Avocado shirt on our last trip together to San Francisco would mean a lot to me, I was struggling big time with this news… he lost weight with Chemo, I gained it by eating my stress away… he meant everything to me, his absence is felt everyday. Vedder 2006: "it's just an intense time in -ah- United States history and ppl need 2b active & not distracted, hmm, ah, that's just how I feel."
Me thinking about 2006 in '26: "it's so much flipping worse in this orchestrated chaos and ever more social media crazed world of distraction and distortion. 2006 seems in the rearview mirror like a simple less intense time. Hard to imagine that 2006 seemed like a bad scene "Post edited by nats19 on0 -
Good album..bummer era for the band, felt like they had a time of absolute freedom and creative control from their record label and they spent it on fighting a war.
Every interview, every song every show all about the war machine. They even did an AOL session where they would interject stories behind the songs, then turn songs from Ten into how they played into the war.
It was my first dose of politic fatigue.0 -
And then most thought it couldn’t be worse but Dickwad was elected in 2016…. Convicted 33x of financials , Rape/ paid off a pornstar and sold his supposed country out to every special interest to make $$mookeywrench said:Good album..bummer era for the band, felt like they had a time of absolute freedom and creative control from their record label and they spent it on fighting a war.

I think the band wasn’t LOUD enough
OTHER day was 23 yrs since Uniondale… what a joke if you booed Ed, I think history shows clearly who was right … only a million died … I guess if you are brown it’s less than others in history… what a SHAME0 -

it’s difficult that it happened so fast… he had a headache, then everything went to shit. Christmas is always me running away from the pain… I went to Germany this year to escape a bit… Radiohead helped
let’s waste $1m on each missle on a bull shit war or a fucking ballroom monument to some fat fuckPost edited by CROJAM95 on0 -

Best one this side of the century. Although Dark Matter may have something to say.Gems:
Life Wasted - Thank you, Stone. Per usual. He writes all the great ones. Underrated lyrics. RIP Johnny.
Come Back - Release 2.0. RIP Johnny again; gorgeous track
Inside Job - Thank you, Mike
Gone - chorus is one of their finest melodies. Rescues “stuck in neutral” verses to not only save it but catapult it to 10/10
Great:
Severed Hand - should’ve been opening track with that intro
Worldwide Suicide - just a solid song. Nice work, Eddie.Good:
Marker in the Sand - consistent rocker
Comatose - quintessential Pearl Jam head banger, punk-ish track. They always throw 1 or 2 of these on there
Big Wave - see above
Parachutes - I feel like Pendulum is reminiscent of this. I think Stone was listening to Pink Floyd a lot and found a good strain of weed.Army Reserve - awesome chorus. Reflective war song.Unemployable - clairvoyant of 2008-2010. Solid mid tempo track
Wasted Reprise - should’ve been placed at 8 like Red Bar was on YieldBoston '06
Mansfield '08
Hartford '10
Worcester, Hartford '13
Global Citizen, NY '150 -
