    The worst thing to happen to The Mandolorian is Grogu. It’s like a badly animated children’s toy waddling around, it just looks awful on the screen.

    I’m definitely in no rush to watch this, even when it eventually gets to Disney+

    Disney should have either fired or prohibited anyone involved with The Last Jedi from coming within 5 miles of Lucasfilm studios.  Rian Johnson fudged everything up so bad, he essentially ended JJ Abrahm’s career when they tried have him work a miracle with the last movie.  I guess it turns out plots and scripts are required for movies … who knew?  

    This feels like Kathleen Kennedy pitching this movie on 2 points:  Season 2 was the last Star Wars … thing … that was liked, and they sold a bunch of Grogo merchandise.   I think she is a Sith Lord, but the Sith are cunning, so that just leads me to believe she is dumb.

    I would be more excited if I knew someone with Star Wars passion, like Patton Oswalt was put in charge.

    I always thought it was dumb to have such a cool character last five minutes in a film.. Maul could have been a great storyline in the movies.

    So a new Star Wars movie based on Mando and Baby Yoda is hitting theaters in a month.  I had to just look up the release date (may 21), which is not a good sign.  I think I watched the trailer to The Force Awakens over 100 times leading up to that movie and I've watched Mando trailer 3 times.  

    I will most likely go see it ... I got dragged to the Minecraft movie so I think I can make time for Baby Yoda.

    Anyone else excited (or not) about this one?

    I’m happy to go see it. My wife and daughter are excited about it, but they haven’t even watched the show! 😆 

    I’m happy Sigourney is in it. Alien and Aliens are my favorite.

    They are turning Grogut into an Ewok or worse Jar Jar...

    My pipe dream is that Disney hires someone who can write a Darth Jar Jar script and redo episodes 7 thru 9 (mainly 8 and 9).  They can just state that the original 7 - 9 took place in an alternate universe.  Somehow.  

    It's not like they haven't used that strategy before.

    I'm not excited by this at all. If it was 'The Mandalorian' I might get around to watching it on Disney+ eventually, but Season 3 (and Grogu in particular) has really put me off Star Wars these days. I didn't finish Andor S2, and I didn't even start Ahsoka, The Acolyte, or Skeleton Crew.

    It's weird. Star Wars was such a big part of my childhood - ROTJ was one of the first movies I ever saw in a cinema - and I loved introducing my son to the movies, but I haven't felt the same about it since Andor S1 and the Obi Wan show.

    I'm getting a little more excited for the new movie.  I asked myself the question if it could be worse than The Last Jedi?

    Disney seems to finally understand no one wants to watch the movies they were in charge of producing.


    Rumor now is that Disney is going to Retcon episodes 7-9

    old guy google search for what this imaginary word Retcon means: pretend it never happened.  Can you retcon the word retcon? ...

    No Bad Batch on there huh?

    The whole premise of Clone Wars is great.  I enjoyed the movie because it tied up some loose ends for me in the OG trilogy.

    What Disney has done with the newer movies has made me dislike a lot of things.

    They need a continuum and continuity of stories.  They seem to just hire writers and say "have at it".
