Saw them at Red Rocks a couple years ago for my first time besides PJ20. It was one of two shows all year, the other in Ny. I was so amped for the show and the crowd was just meh and Julian didn’t seem into it. Loved the last album, might be a top 15 album for me all time. Really looking forward to this one and a potential tour. The shows in SF this past weekend looked good on youthbe

Last album was so good but I refuse to see them live. They all look so disinterested and actually annoyed to be together on stage. Maybe it’s just me.

Yeah that's pretty bad.  That auto tune or whatever it is on his vocals sounds horrible.

It's alright. I know they played it last night. Maybe it sounds better live?

I agree that they look indifferent to be there, but the songs are so great!

I’m struggling with this new track. It’s musically good but I just cannot believe the amount of autotune  on the vocals.  It’s extremely distracting.

I’m the exact the same. I find it pretty catchy and keep giving it a chance but the auto tune makes it sound thin and shrill

Julian’s side project The Voidz use a lot of auto tune too. In some songs it puts me off, others I find a good fit for the song.

I'm debating on going to see them.  I was lucky enough to see them both days @ PJ20 but I heard a ton of mixed reviews the last few years regarding their shows.

Yup, that’s what side projects are for. I know he used pitch correction before on strokes albums. But this is an obnoxious amount of autotune and seems to be on purpose. No thanks

They can definitely be dicey live, especially the past few years, depending on Jules' level of effort/interest that night. I've seen them a few times, and I've gotten lucky. My shows have ranged from good to the best show I've ever seen by anyone, PJ included, in 2014 at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.

This song might be the worst song in the history of music, but I kind of like it lol. The auto-tune is unnecessary.

I'm contemplating a Maryland Strokes/Orioles trip, wouldn't travel any farther than that.
May your days be long, til kingdom come.

Getting tickets for red rocks was a joke. 30 minute wait room, another 30 min to get in, just for there only to be premiums and flashes of standards selling in a blink. $114 for GA, $144 standard, $188 lower standard, $369-$479 premiums taking up the entire first 20 rows of the venue

I’ve only seen the Strokes once for their own gig, MSG w/ Elvis Costello… had rail in GA.. but I’ve seen them prob a dozen times opening for Other bands, PJ20, festivals & NYC small venues early on… the new song is cool, I’m glad Rick Reuben produced this new album. It’s usually a good sign

hope to see a show this summer

I've only seen the Strokes once. They were an unknown band opening for Doves at Bimbo's in San Francisco. I was thinking about how they really wore their influences obviously on their sleeves. Didn't know how I felt, but gradually became a fan. It would be cool to see them again, but seems expensive.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2
