    That was like watching the Brewers hit in the post season ... at least we were not playing in front of our fans and that must have taken place in a foreign country based on the crowd response.  Best baseball players are coming out of Venezuela right now, so congrats.

    Also, in regards to loser teams like the Padres giving orders to Team USA (wtf?) on player availability, I would say 'eff the Padres, but the owners have already accomplished that over decades ... So, hey Padres, continues to exist as you are.  Take that!

    (note to the person who finds the magic Cracker Jacks Box ticket that allows you to be the Team USA manager in the next WBC (I'm assuming that is how the managerial search went down this year), don't pick players from teams that wont let said players play baseball.)

    I'm not one of the gloaters, though.  I agree that Canada whipped up and should have won that gold medal.  Clearly the better roster.  
    Didn't win the tourney, though.  Some guys choked and your NHL team goalie was other-worldly as a member of Team Bombers America.
    It happens.  Best rosters dont always win tournaments. 
    Otherwise it wouldn't be fun to watch and Canada would be given the gold medal without having to win it.




    Also, fuck Juan Soto.  He had the sore loser stance.  His team lost.  How many guys did they leave in scoring position?
    The best team in the world shouldn't do that.
    I actually liked him fine until he went to the Mets.  Just my distaste for the Mets typing, here.

    Yeah, but he was squeezed on that pitch. The Ump had a pretty wide strike zone all game. But even if that's called a strike who knows what would've happened.

    I know there isn't a good time to have the WBC, but it would be interesting to see how it would play out if the pitchers and especially the hitters, would do if played Mid-Season.

    sorry, snowflakes…it’s just when we steal a country’s oil, ban their fans from attending due to some stupid travel ban and post a video of “Pure American Dominance” (featuring US born baseball players) while killing Iranian schoolgirls, it wasn’t hard for me to root for the Venezuelans.     I signed up for “all the games” on ESPN app.  Tried to watch Opening Game and … find out i have to download another app and fuccckkk thissss ….  thank goodness hardcore baseball fan don’t really care about opening day
