DeRosa not knowing they could still be eliminated is one of the more moronic things i've seen from a coach.  Part of me hopes they get eliminated now.   

Not a big fan of all these guys playing for countries they barely have any ties to. Aaron Nola pitching for Italy and he's never actually been in the country.  come on.

They were losing the game so there wasn't any lock.  He thought they were locked to advance though BEFORE the game. Then doubled down and said they were a LOCK to advance to the knockout round.

His analytics, co managers and whomever else is in charge of the USA team are pathetic.

Italy was 2-0.  They aren't a bad team.  They are a good team.  They whooped us pretty good too.

My favorite story so far id the Czech Electrician Ondrej Satoria shutting down the Japanese team and the whole stadium erupting his walk off the mound.

He stopped to take it all in.  

What a beautiful moment.  THAT is baseball.

From what I read the Japanese team holds the Czech team in  high regard because of their respect for other players and the game.  Pretty cool.

Admittedly, I didn’t even know of the existence of this tournament, but now fully cements the validity of my annoyance at American sports league champions (any sport) referring to themselves as “world champions”.

Works in hockey.   You are just bitter that the Stanley Cup hasn't needed to update its passports since ... checks notes .... pearl jam was one year old.  Kids that were smoking Marlboro Lights, using fake ID's and driving IROC-Z's have gotten married, sired children and retired since the last Canadian team won a Stanley Cup.

a. no it doesn't. 
b. I actually couldn't care less about the stanley cup. I'd like McDavid to win, but other than that, meh. 

we literally have 10% of your population and are still as good or better than you at hockey. 

of course I wanted my team to win gold, but it's really weird (not referring to you) how much gloating americans are doing over this. I mean, it's your first gold since I was....6. Not to mention you only won cuz my goalie beat us. Our team dominated you. Really quite badly.

US population is roughly 8x Canada.
Not sure we can count the knuckle draggers who run the show down here,now, though....so we may want to take a hundred million or so people off the top of the US.  Lol.

I'm not one of the gloaters, though.  I agree that Canada whipped up and should have won that gold medal.  Clearly the better roster.  
Didn't win the tourney, though.  Some guys choked and your NHL team goalie was other-worldly as a member of Team Bombers America.
It happens.  Best rosters dont always win tournaments. 
Otherwise it wouldn't be fun to watch and Canada would be given the gold medal without having to win it.




Also, fuck Juan Soto.  He had the sore loser stance.  His team lost.  How many guys did they leave in scoring position?
The best team in the world shouldn't do that.
I actually liked him fine until he went to the Mets.  Just my distaste for the Mets typing, here.
