I dont know.   Bret Hart would be taking it way too far with his perpetual whining and acting like the world owes him a fake championship from 30 years ago and making himself look like an insufferable douche
So something I did think about with this.  There is always a "passing of the torch" where the current star or belt holder goes out "losing" as part of his farewell.

Was that this supposed to be that match and they put another spin on it?
No, it was all creative differences with both wanting to retain as much worth for their respective brands as possible.

Bret didn’t want to drop the belt in canada. Especially to Michaels. He wanted to beat Michaels at SS the vacate the belt on raw the next night snd say goodbye.

That would have made WWF look like bush league in comparison to WCW.

In the end, it’s storyline acting. Vince is the boss and makes the final call. Bret refused. Vince had to do what he did to protect his company.

It’s like an actor telling the director and script writers what the story will be.

I’m firmly in Vince’s corner on this one.
Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

Yes so my point is Vince wanted this match to be the passing of the torch and Brett didn't want that so in the end Vince made it that way anyways.

I can't be told otherwise. There's no fucking way Vince would have let any of what went down go down (especially to himself) unless he allowed it and it was good for business.

In what world is the loser, when the title changes hands, the first person the camera's on? That's exactly what happened in this match.

I wouldn’t call it passing of the torch. Not in wrestling context anyway, like warrior hogan was (supposed to be). Bret was leaving and vince wanted to save face, and bret was a baby. 😂

The camera guy, like everyone else except for like 2 people, knew/was expecting Hart was going to win.  I think like 2 people knew it was going down differently and it was sloppy and confusing.

Fair enough, my take is he turned it around and MADE it good for business. Bret screwed bret will forever be etched on my rasslin brain.

I think this is a good way to put it too. I think it was mostly a work, but I also think there were some things out of Bret's hands and he was used in it. But overall still all planned.

Interesting PLE event last night. Surprised Orton won (was kinda hoping for LA Knight, maybe Cody). Seth Rollins returning was a nice surprise. Danhausen  debuting from the box was ok. Could have been worse (i.e. Gobbly Gooker or something). Good to see the real power couple win last night (Punk and Lee )

    In on board with danhausen

I saw the elimination chamber reveal and thought it was ridiculous and a huge miss by wwe.

But then seeing him on raw and learning that he is a comedic wrestler who takes a lot of mannerism from William regal, I thought it was great.

This danhausen is witty.  I can do without the King Diamond/Sting face paint though.  I say that about AEW's Darby Allin too.

He seems like he is interesting though.

Yeah he’s more of a comedic wrestler. I think when he was in AEW he wrestled like only once or twice.

Obviously that is his “schtick “. Actually I heard that he trademarked his face paint.
