***DONALD J TRUMP HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN IMPEACHED***

DID YOU KNOW that the MAGA Red Hat phenomena originally called "TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME" or TDS is a fairly new psychological problem.  We started seeing it very shortly after Trump announced his candidacy in 2015. ORIGINALLY IT WAS TO DESCRIBE THE GULLIBLE PEOPLE WHO FOLLOWED TRUMP, hook, line, and sinker. But after awhile these people began using it against those people appalled by Trump's behavior, agenda, and policies. As usual, being unable to respond to someone telling them they had "TDS" they began retaliating with "No, you have TDS!" like a child in the school yard. LET'S TAKE IT BACK AND USE IT PROPERLY to described the people with symptoms!  It is easy and a recognizable phenomenon characterized by several symptoms:

1.) An absolute adoration and blind trust of a cultivated personality, e.g., i.e., to whit...Trump

Symptoms include odd facial expressions, changes in behavior and wardrobe, sudden illegibility of social media feeds, the sudden belief that a bankrupt reality show host would make a good leader of the free world.

2.) Incapacitating Cognitive Dissonance associated with anything related to Donald Trump.

Symptoms include extraordinary mental discomfort related to contradictory beliefs i.e. “Law Enforcement cannot be questioned” “the FBI is Evil” — “Corporate Media is all Fake News” “Fox News is always right”

3.) Inability to distinguish fact from fiction.

Symptoms include believing a man who lies so regularly that more falsehoods escape his lips than truth, especially when that man says someone else is lying.

4.) Loss of perspective on what Patriotism means exactly.

Symptoms include tolerance of Un-American Ideals, worship of unfriendly foreign states, respect or tolerance for ideological influences we have literally had to go to war with at various points in history.

5.) The belief that anything negative is in no way related to Donald Trump, but anything positive somehow is.

6.) Extreme levels of aggression and anger aimed at anyone unwilling to join the cult of personality of Trump.

7.) Irrational thoughts potentially leading to criminal and terroristic behavior, e.g., i.e., to whit, The January 6 Insurrection.
I guess in the meantime, until we get our rights to TDS back  'Trump Dickhead Syndrome' works too...

Recently a couple of people who read my page were challenged by a MAGAnut, troll, or bot telling them "You've got TDS!" and they responded as follows;

Pamela C. says, "I got it TDS in 2016 when Humpty Dumpty Trumpty said he could grab women’s pussies or that he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and his people would still vote for him, or that he could walk into pageant dressing room where the young women, girls were naked, and when he advised citizens to ingest bleach and 1,000,000 died during a pandemic, ignoring the COVID 19 science as it developed, but he got his shots while instilling fear and others didn’t. The syndrome continued in 2020 when he wanted 11,780+ 1 more than needed votes from Georgia officials, sent an angry mop to The Capitol where his VP was almost killed based on the big lie, when 60+ courts and his DOJ AG said it was untrue. My derangement was really fired up 2024 when  I had to worry about wind turbines killing whales, and the eating of dogs and cats in Ohio, and not raking the forests and or turning on water taps in N. California to prevent the fires in the south. Now, in 2026, my ability to vote in elections is compromised if my birth certificate  doesn’t match my other ids, or being attacked by masked militias if my name sounds Latina, undocumented, or awaiting my green card, stoking hate, fear of immigrants…killing citizens. There’s more to my symptoms …But let me ask, WHAT do you see, in this pathetic, narcissistic seriously flawed leader, who sells a bill of goods regarding economics, obsessed with tariffs, his jealousy of Obama, his treatment of NATO, Allies , his use of our own military in states he doesn’t like. Never mind the the most incompetent, unqualified cabinet …Be an independent thinker and do more due diligence, use unbiased sources, because TRUMP part2 and undereducated, misinformed, gullible citizens are a menace to our freedoms."

Ted T. responds with, "Michael, You got it. I accept the facts you and Pamela enumerate that prove Trump's derangement. If that's a syndrome, so be it. "Syndrome" is defined as a characteristic combination of opinions, emotions, or behavior. I am happy to have a syndrome centered around rule of law, due process, inalienable rights, our constitution and the preservation of our precious constitutional democratic republic."  

Thank you, Ted! But the Red Hats have a new version of TDS.

He was born with a gold spoon in his mouth & his parents coddled & sheltered him from the real world .He lives in his own golden bubble .He has no idea what it's like to live from paycheck to paycheck. He never had a sick feeling in his stomach when the mailman comes with a stack of bills marked Final Notice or referred to collections. He's never had to decide on eating that day or paying for a prescription. He's never sat for hours on end , in an emergency room, waiting for a doctor to examine his sick child .He's never had to rob Peter to pay Paul because 2 or more children outgrew clothes, need eyeglasses or braces. So when Trump says he's for the working man , its all bullshit."

Yes, Susan...Trump is certainly "privileged" and the definition of it is: When something is not a problem for you because you are not personally affected by it.

So, my friends. There are "types" of TDS and be thankful that you do not have the "Red Hat Variety!"  These people have both versions of TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome and Trump Denial Syndrome!

I used to wonder how it was possible that Trump could have won in 2016, and then again in 2024, given how emotionally toxic and depraved he is.

I don’t wonder anymore. I think he won for that exact reason. Because he carried at least one broken shard to reflect the broken shards in millions of others.

If you’re a racist, you found your guy. If you’re a misogynist, you found your guy. If money is your only religion, you found your guy. If your heart is armored shut, you found your guy. If he’d only carried one or two of these pathologies, he might have been dismissed as just another loud, damaged man. But he carried a buffet of them. That was the appeal. Millions could locate themselves somewhere in the wreckage. They didn’t have to agree with all of it. They just had to recognize a piece of themselves in it.

It was never really about him. It was about the validation. The absolution. The permission. He didn’t invent the resentment; he amplified it. He didn’t create the cruelty; he normalized it. He gave millions the intoxicating relief of hearing their ugliest impulses echoed back at rally volume.

Trump is a symptom. The deeper illness is collective. If there’s one sentence that defines his power, it’s this: “He says the things I’m thinking.”

And that’s the part that should chill us.

Because what does it say about us that so many were thinking those things? That tens of millions of Americans harbored resentments so deep, so seething, that they were simply waiting for a demagogue to baptize them as virtue? That after decades of supposed progress on race, gender, and equality, so many white men felt so threatened, so displaced, so furious, that cruelty became a political platform?

Maybe we were living in a fool’s paradise, mistaking silence for healing, politeness for progress.

Now the mask is off. Now we know.

And knowing is a far more dangerous place to stand.
