Why is this happening?! The CPC is so far right that they should just merge with Bernier.HughFreakingDillon said:

IMO, none of this would be happening if it wasn’t for Covid. I’m convinced that people just went down the rabbit hole of doom scrolling and reading during lock down.2005: Ottawa / 2011: Ottawa / 2016: Ottawa / 2022: Ottawa / 2022:Quebec City / 2024: Vancouver / 2024: Vancouver / 2024: New York City0 -
Surprised no comments about the mass shooting in Canada on this thread. Seems to be several Canadians on here apparently.0

No clue if it should even be discussed in a political thread. I'm definitely not thinking about it in political terms at all at the moment - it's not America. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

Canadian. Trans. Of course, this one won't be complained about. It's only Straight White American Males that cause gun violence. The rest are ok.Post edited by seanwon on1996: 9/29 Randall's Island 2, 10/1 Buffalo 2000: 8/27 Saratoga Springs

This is not politically, gender or race based.

That's a ridiculous thing to say, and definitely contrary to your little disclaimer. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
statistically speaking, yes, it is straight white american males that commit mass shootings. that is factual; so far the disclaimer holds up.seanwon said:Legal Citizen said:Surprised no comments about the mass shooting in Canada on this thread. but this isn't a contest.
and no one said it was ok. making a sarcastic remark that it is ok, is in fact an opinion. So that's where your disclaimer falls apart. Sorry. Nothing personal.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -

IMO, PP is just a stand in until someone comes along that has PM qualities. Him kissing DJT ring and other pro USA behaviours is what got him to trouble.Did anyone else see clips of Harper and Chrétien at geographical society awards. They talk about all of the issues. Alberta, DJT, USA. I’m trying to see if I can watch the whole thing.Harper didn’t sign the petition to separate Alberta from Canada and he agrees that moving away from USA is a smart move.
do you think there is friction between Harper and PP?Maybe. The challenge with PP, is that he can't figure out how to get the far right votes and centre-right votes at the same time. The far right will just splinter and create another party if you drift centre. If you appeal to the far right, you lost the right centre to the liberals.I feel like harper was more centre-right. Not really all the way over appealing to the far right part of the spectrum.0
