    Surprised no comments about the mass shooting in Canada on this thread.  Seems to be several Canadians on here apparently.

    All gun violence is unacceptable and this is a tragedy for all those touched by this.

    statistically speaking, yes, it is straight white american males that commit mass shootings. that is factual; so far the disclaimer holds up.

    Did anyone else see clips of Harper and Chrétien at geographical society awards. They talk about all of the issues. Alberta, DJT, USA. I’m trying to see if I can watch the whole thing. 

    Harper didn’t sign the petition to separate Alberta from Canada and he agrees that moving away from USA is a smart move.

    Maybe.  The challenge with PP, is that he can't figure out how to get the far right votes and centre-right votes at the same time.   The far right will just splinter and create another party if you drift centre.  If you appeal to the far right, you lost the right centre to the liberals.

    I feel like harper was more centre-right.  Not really all the way over appealing to the far right part of the spectrum.
