I dont know.   Bret Hart would be taking it way too far with his perpetual whining and acting like the world owes him a fake championship from 30 years ago and making himself look like an insufferable douche
So something I did think about with this.  There is always a "passing of the torch" where the current star or belt holder goes out "losing" as part of his farewell.

Was that this supposed to be that match and they put another spin on it?
No, it was all creative differences with both wanting to retain as much worth for their respective brands as possible.

Bret didn’t want to drop the belt in canada. Especially to Michaels. He wanted to beat Michaels at SS the vacate the belt on raw the next night snd say goodbye.

That would have made WWF look like bush league in comparison to WCW.

In the end, it’s storyline acting. Vince is the boss and makes the final call. Bret refused. Vince had to do what he did to protect his company.

It’s like an actor telling the director and script writers what the story will be.

I’m firmly in Vince’s corner on this one.
Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

Yes so my point is Vince wanted this match to be the passing of the torch and Brett didn't want that so in the end Vince made it that way anyways.

I can't be told otherwise. There's no fucking way Vince would have let any of what went down go down (especially to himself) unless he allowed it and it was good for business.

In what world is the loser, when the title changes hands, the first person the camera's on? That's exactly what happened in this match.

I wouldn’t call it passing of the torch. Not in wrestling context anyway, like warrior hogan was (supposed to be). Bret was leaving and vince wanted to save face, and bret was a baby. 😂

Well michaels bolted so he wouldn’t get his lights knocked out on ppv. 😂

The camera guy, like everyone else except for like 2 people, knew/was expecting Hart was going to win.  I think like 2 people knew it was going down differently and it was sloppy and confusing.
