Eddie Vedder Japan Tour

Hey Taka-T - or someone else.
Is a specific seat map to the EV show anywhere to find? The other seat map(different find
fits to the thread so far)
was also for a different event and hidden in a review.
So no idea/guarantee whether the EV show looks identical. The venue’s webpage is useless for it and the ticket sales place Creativeman didn‘t show one, at least in the international section.Post edited by D-Day on0 -

Do not sleep on an izakaya with a local. Best food on the planet IMHO.candle0223 said:Hello, I've already got Osaka Festival Hall with Japanese Fans & Australia fans.

A lot - it’s pretty different to the s/a seat map of the other concert (yellow pic). Thanks.Taka-T said:
Hi D-Day,

I’m definitive not a fan of the third/back seat area on the floor. Would have picked (s) front row seat on one of the three central balconies.
But basically it looks like any ticket would be good enough to me. Up there is the bird‘s view;)

I recommend that people traveling to Japan for the first time should checkout the japantraveltips subreddit. I've been planning my trip for many months and the advice there has been extremely helpful. Just please do a search in past threads for answers to your questions. Every day is another "rate my itinerary" or "Best places to stay in Tokyo?" threads, which have already been answered MANY times.
I leave for Japan this week and feel much more confident after all the research.1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th

My routine for the long flight. Two advil pms, one cocktail, and then meal service. Maybe a glass of port and cheese, which I have only ever had on an airplane. I never make it through the first movie. And noise cancelling headphones or earbuds are a must. Safe travels!0

Thanks! I'm gonna try the stay awake method. So many different ways to try and deal with jetlag. We land in the evening, so I am hoping to go out and have dranks and food, then go to sleep around a normal time. I have so many things we want to do, but they're all flexible. Not interested in any restaurants or attractions that require reservations far in advance. There seems like there is SO much to do in Japan, that just being chill and experiencing what is in front of us will probably be the most fun.Get_Right said:My routine for the long flight. Haven’t decided if I’m going but if so I got a refundable flight to San Fran one evening and then the next morning it goes from San Fran to Japan during daytime hours and then a flight from Japan to LA that is also during daytime hours. At least mostly; these flights leave in the AM in the departure city at reasonable times and land in the evening in the arrival city at reasonable times. If I make the trip I’ll be curious to see how this works for me.PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.

For me if I can take 4-6 hours off that flight by sleeping, I am more comfortable when I land. The jetlag going/arriving is not bad. But it can be brutal when you come back depending how much time you spend there. I always need at least two days to adjust if I spend two weeks there and sometimes I have a bit of nausea.
Edit: 100% agree you do not need to plan anything fancy unless you are after a Kaiseki or an upscale wagyu restaurant. They will require reservations. Have fun exploring! Some of the food is found just walking around. It does really help if you have a local to guide you. They know places you would be unlikely to find.Post edited by Get_Right on0 -
Are there any situations in Japan/Tokyo possible when international visitors (without knowledge of the language) must have a smartphone ready, do need one because there is no other option ?Emergency call, taking pictures, street map on screen and translation of conversations are not meant.
edit:
1.) translation of written words, immediately readable via camera on screen
anything else?Post edited by D-Day on0 -
You need to get an esim for internet access. Ubingi and Airalo seem to be the favs. You won't have phone call service or texting unless you use something like the Signal app, but your recipients must also be on Signal. There's also Whatsapp, but it's owned by that douchebag and they mine your information. Not secure. My wife and I both downloaded Signal in case we lose each other and need to text. Also, download Google translate. Like I said before, I highly recommend searching for your answers in the japantraveltips subreddit. There really is a lot to know when going to Japan. I've never done this much research, and I usually fly by the seat of my pants when traveling. You can also just do that.1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th

My thought was to show up in Tokyo without a mobile phone 😉 in the case of a lottery ticket win.But 1.)
(up there) seems really hard to ignore.0 -
Fuck. Money has been drawn for four seperate tickets from my bankaccount...
Does that mean I got one for every concert... I AM UNEMPLOYED....... .. .. . .. . . .. . . ..Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -
No confirmation emails yet, but I got charges for all 3 shows I wanted to I am in!0

Feel a bit angry at my self now about being stressed and having FOMO and applying for all four shows... But I guess I can just eat the cost of one of them (if it will be a hassle going to them all).Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0
