  • You know both this fuckface, and its complete garbage administration, are in the total shitter when professional wrestlers are taking any kind of stance.
kind of an odd comment, seemingly generalizing all pro wrestlers are immoral people?

Is it? When talking about professional wrestling? I'll emphasize twice.

And that presumption is your own buddy. Less about morals and more about thinking that this industry will be the one that takes a stand.

And, yes, I'm generalizing an overwhelmingly monopolized industry where the motto is generally that of cash rules everything around me.

well I don't think ANY industry as a whole takes a stand. but there are democrats and republicans both who are sports entertainers. so not sure the point of your post. obviously vince and HHH are trumpers. But the rest? who knows.

and my presumption is my own and then you confirm it in the next sentence? lol. k "buddy".

I didn’t watch it. From I saw/read looks like the women’s tumble was better.

Mens seemed ok. I would have preferred LA Knight to win rather than Roman again though. Guess it could have been worse (Brock Lesnar). Wonder where Jericho was? Everyone thought he was gonna be in it. Maybe he shows up on RAW tomorrow night?

only other interesting thing was who attacked breakker in the beginning? Good number of possibilities. Rollins? Austin Theory? Finn Balor? Logan Paul? Adam Pearce? Jericho? Or someone else.

Women's was more fun, but horrendously sloppy

Men's was not fun.  They wasted so many spots on these nacho Libre aaa masked guys, and they never did anything consequential besides just get eliminated.  Lesnar was eliminated off camera pretty much during an intro.  Gunther was #30, which was stupid, he seems to be pushed to no end (i like him but not being pushed like he is currently).  They pushed this heyman/pierce thing for weeks expecting some sort of giant happening and nothing happened except a "masked man" which is the same card they pulled a month or 2 ago

I usually watch a few events a year and always royal rumble.  I thought this one was particularly bad

Well he never really left wrestling. After he left WWE, he did join AEW and was in there for like 5 years.

I watched a Bret Hart documentary on YouTube Tv the other day.  I'm not sure what channel it was, but at one point they went to an old clip and Hart had a Pearl Jam shirt on.  Also, I met Bret Hart at a meet and greet / autograph event years ago.  Pretty awesome.  Once Stone Cold and The Rock phased out I stopped watching.

I know. But WWE ruined me for a more budget product. I meant to say if he was back with WWE I would watch it again

Talk amongst yourselves, I've seen enough videos/interviews/etc. The Screw Job was an absolute work.

I'm kinda with you on that. I mean, just the fact that there was a documentary film crew on hand is suspect enough.

It was his last match so it's not that far out of reach that it was to be documented. Cornette even says it was a shoot.

If it was indeed a work then they have done a great job concealing it all these years.

The Kaufman/Lawler storyline kept hush all those years was just nuts to me, so maybe?

I dont know.   Bret Hart would be taking it way too far with his perpetual whining and acting like the world owes him a fake championship from 30 years ago and making himself look like an insufferable douche

So something I did think about with this.  There is always a "passing of the torch" where the current star or belt holder goes out "losing" as part of his farewell.

Was that this supposed to be that match and they put another spin on it?

I think the simplest explanation is what is true.

He was leaving, he was being stingy about how he retained/lost the belt. McMahon, for obvious reasons, didnt want the belt going to WCW, so he pulled the end-around.

And there is no doubt Hart (and many others) loathed Shawn Michaels.  I don't believe he would go to such lengths, going as far to continually tarnish his legacy for 3 decades, to put Michaels over.

Yeah, you’re likely right. At the time it just seemed too perfect, and ended up benefiting both parties, which I could see Vince attempting.

But yeah, after this long, no way it wouldn’t leak by now.
