i don't think they are cooked. look at your history during the trump administrations. anybody that gets fired gets replaced by someone worse.

Unpopular stuff in the public is unpopular. It serves the admin to do stuff that’s popular.

my man got back in there because people were moderately unhappy with prices and *waves hand* stuff. They aren’t in a better place now. It’s worse and they’ve been woken up to the BS.

Homan's an asshole, but is actually 1,000x more qualified for that position than Crispy Gnome ever was.
But I doubt Trump cans Gnome. She'll service him in the Oval Office and everything will be hunky dory between them.

It is great to see so many people resist.

And people not from here may not truly be able to comprehend what it's like spending hours in -10 F weather. It's a death-grip after about five minutes. That crowd was amazing.

Historically some protest has worked. I'm pessimistic this time because of the rise in echo chambers telling people what to think and the death of journalism in general. The administration has turned on its own citizens. But how many people that were not out there really believe that?

The two winters I spent in Western NY State were like that. I don't know how people managed being out in it for hours. Amazing dedication.

I suppose you might be right. We might be screwed for good and democracy might be dead. I can understand why you might believe there is no hope. But it makes more sense to me to keep fighting for democracy, because to do otherwise is too pessimistic for me. It took years for us to end the war in Vietnam but we kept at it and we did it. Different circumstances today, of course, but the same strategy applies. Keeping up the resistance makes the most sense.

That's the horrifying part. It's like the guy that just died in detention. Authorities are claiming it was suicide...other detainees said the guards choked him to death.
