It looks like he didn’t have the gun drawn. Republicans will just say he did and therefore it was justified. To add to this, it looks more like one ice agent removed the gun, probably from the holster, then after that the other ice agent started shooting

keep talking about it and keep being outraged.

I know a lot of times it feels like this admin does nothing and doesn't care (both are true) and that they'll keep doing whatever they want (also a bit true) but the consequences of their actions are coming home to roost. this and the admin are widely unpopular. There are electoral consequences and with that comes legal consequences. Everyone involved are or will be made aware that they are not untouchable.

This is a turning point, the straw that broke the camel's back, I think. More and more Americans who've been sitting on the sidelines are starting to speak out, and with any luck ice will be chased out of any city they set foot in. Alex and Renee's death were tragic, do not let their deaths go in vain. They're expecting us to remain silent, to feel powerless. Don't.

Jeanne Wiener, one of Pretti’s neighbors, said she's known him for about five years and described him as a "gentle, good person."

“He would never, ever attack a police officer,” she told NBC News.

Wiener added that while she did not know much about his personal life, she believed Pretti lived alone and had a dog.

She said Pretti was “extremely kind and outgoing and nice. Didn’t look to me like he would have a mean bone in his body,” she added

How incredibly relatable. This could've been just about any one of us on the forum. Do not accept an apology or any form of placation from the federal government. This bullshit needs to end NOW.

I hope you are right, N.  A lot depends on how much information gets to those who only follow pro-fascist news outlets.
I know most of us here (maybe all, lately!) would like to see things change soon but I think it will require staying strong and steady.  I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but the reality is things seldom happen overnight.  We need to keep speaking out, calling our representatives.

And we need to stop supporting companies that are OK with what ICE is doing.  Everyone here is aware of that, right?  I would think so, yet I am amazed by people who are outraged by ICE and the current administration and yet persist on buying stuff from Amazon, Target, Home Depot, etc.  That really perplexes me.

The amount of people still carrying the water for these lawless armed militants is sickening. They create their own danger and then justify it even though their incompetency caused it.

MN says fuck you fascist assholes. If you think killing citizens is going to get people to allow brutality to continue, you're wrong. There will be justice and these criminals will be fleeing the country once the sycophants aren't able to shield them. Day of reckoning alright, for them.

We long for that day.  And I hope other countries refuse to grant these criminal thugs clemency.  Let them rot in jail, and then in hell.
    Meanwhile, stay safe, T.

I don’t think it’s always been their motivation for any of this, but it’s certainly a pivot they could take should they get this info and that’s what they are looking for with this.

An FBI agent in Minneapolis who attempted to probe the death of a 37-year-old woman killed by a federal immigration officer earlier this month has resigned. https://trib.al/MGQY3cr

You would think they would stand up for gun ownership. Beginning to think maybe they don’t represent their position in good faith.

I feel afraid. Only hours have passed since they shot a man right in front me and Idon't feel like I can go home because I heard agents were looking for me. I don'tknow what the agents will do when they find me. I do know that they're not tellingthe truth about what happened. I've heard that other witnesses might have beenarrested and taken to the Whipple Building.

Don't compare them to nazis, though.

Both NFL games tomorrow should speak out about what is happening over the loud speakers, hold a minute of silence for them both and the players should take a knee. If they don’t, they’re part of the problem. More needs to be said and done and what is happening is not normal nor should it be “business as usual “.
