I couldn't give a shit about the Steelers and I felt emotional seeing it. He did enough to get juice out of mediocre teams that they could never get a high enough draft pick to get a new franchise QB.

Damn. Wonder how this fits in to Harbaughs thoughts.....
How could they not reflect highly on it.  They were spoiled all those years.

Tomlin was a great coach for a great organization.

Rooneys need to look at their gm. story goes he wants rogers back....

spent all that money on one year deals to get the same result. just above .500 and 1st round playoff exit.

Its still a good organization.  The GM is a dipshit, yes.  Their QB roulette is questionable for sure but it's one of the better teams to play for in ownership.

Not surprised.  I think this was his best option.

The minute he got fired I thought Harbaugh and the Giants just made sense...  but when I gave it thought, I think I would have taken the Atlanta job.

In NY for the Giants, you get like 3 games to turn things around before everyone turns on you.

The Giants in my opinion got a really good stable coach who will guide them to many playoff appearances if they allow him to.  As a Bills fan Im glad the Dolphins didnt somehow fool him into taking that job.

Atl would have been a good spot as well.  Kinda weak division in NFC South.
I think he likes the attention and NY will be a place to get it.  Think they have a lot of good stuff in the cupboard and he can work it quickly.

still 8(?) HC spots left? some will hit; some will miss. to me, harbaugh could go either way. he ain’t vince lombardi.

I agree. In fact, the past several years I think some of his decisions (most notably a couple of go for 2 points to win rather than have Justin Tucker kick for a tie to force OT and a plethora of going for it on 4th downs) have hurt the Ravens bigly.
I'd rank him as a good but not great coach. definitely not top 5, probably at best borderline for top 10 in the league once this hiring cycle shakes out.

Steelers have given the entire asst coaching staff the opportunity to pursue other jobs. New HC will be able to pick the entire staff. Which may include spme of these same coaches.

Usually a HC brings in his own guys.  Can't see them retaining any of the old guard?

Nor should they. Danny Smith maybe, but offense and defense were putrid.

bills, niners, rams and I really don’t care.

those first three might all lose.

Schefter reporting Darnold hasn't thrown a football since injuring his oblique Thursday (other reports it's his throwing shoulder), Drew Lock getting all the reps in practice. Seahawks "optimistic" Darnold will play.
SF +7 against Drew Lock sounds like good value.

I think he would have been off yesterday anyway so he just cut his practice short Thursday

Dont buy it.  Sam will be focused on JSN today.

Yeah I see what he is doing there. I hope that Sam Darnold wakes up this morning and remembers that he is Sam Darnold in a big game.
