I would rather they do a early saturday game than Monday night.  IMO too much of a competitive disadvantage for the playoffs.  Im someone who supports all the odd games to fill the schedule like Thursdays, Christmas, etc too.

Teams with the byes shouldnt get to play banged up teams on a short week on Saturday either.
    Agree with this as well.
How they decide who gets short weeks and more rest is not something the teams have any input on.
    League decisions.
    Network decisions

If the Niners and Rams both win this weekend, the Rams will host the NFC championship game.

Not bad for a 5th seeded team.

I couldn't give a shit about the Steelers and I felt emotional seeing it. He did enough to get juice out of mediocre teams that they could never get a high enough draft pick to get a new franchise QB.

Both sides probably needed a change, but I believe Steelers fan will look back on the Tomlin era much more favorably than they are now.

Just spreading out the viewership. If they can squeeze out 1 more day of games... don't get me wrong, im in, but the greediness is a bit much.
Greed is right, and if the NFL could they would have a game on every Night.

Steelers have had 3 coaches for the past 60 or so years. They'll probably have 3 in the next 10

Wow, first Harbaugh, now Tomlin. Is A. Reid next (I know very unlikely)?

Andy will retire before KC ever fires him.  I can't see him hanging around too much longer but he is maybe 4 or 5 good years away from getting close to Shula's career wins total.

Exactly, they have been stuck in a cycle of mediocracy the past decade.  Everybody talked about Tomlin never having a losing season.  Well, the result was they were never good enough to win a playoff game, but never bad enough to get a top pick.
