  • but it still wouldn't be the same dog. I mean, pets have personalities, there's no doubt. I can't imagine they'd "be" the same dog. So why bother?

Egg producers suspect bird flu is traveling through the air.

The USDA didn’t test the theory after a disastrous Midwestern outbreak.

    Here’s how we did: https://propub.li/4ivrdHS

Well speaking of pets, and other animals too... they all seem to be going downhill right along with us.
‘Silent killers’ on the rise: Study links human lifestyles to chronic diseases in animals

Good article.  And, sorry to say, I'm not at all surprised by these findings.  It's sad they way we have decreased wildlife habitat, killed off bird and animal species through over-hunting, made mutant creatures through unnatural breading, poisoned the environment with human-made toxic chemicals, introduced non-native species to places all over the world, etc.

My wife recently went on the trip of a lifetime with her daughter to New Zealand.  She told me some really interesting stories about the way European settlers to those islands had altered the environment, and of the widespread efforts to restore their natural environment. They are working very hard to accomplish that restoration.  It's the strongest efforts of that kind about which I have ever heard.  Quite impressive!

High school science students created a test to detect Lyme disease as early as two days after infection, far sooner than the two weeks with existing tests.  https://cbsn.ws/48mN5QP

Crazy-ass sea level changes off coast of Japan... This article is really interesting to me mainly because it helps me better understand how the oceans are working- it's so weird!

This is just a wild story to me, and super interesting. This is the first time I have seen anything about it - as a Canadian, i'm surprised it's new to me. It's such a weird mystery or scandal or something!
