Didn't make it past Angel of Death. Not today Satan!
  • A couple things:

    a) does anyone else have genres that they don't listen to on certain physical mediums? I feel like maybe I'm weird, but I don't buy punk or metal on vinyl. I have this odd thing where I'll buy pearl jam, jack white, headstones, etc, but I'd never consider buying metallica on vinyl.
    b) my 16 year old daughter had a party last night, and the 17 kids in attendance apparently decided collectively that, out of all their houses, my house is the best for partying, cuz my basement has the "best vibe", even though it's pretty small. What I found interesting is how many of them were ogling my vinyl collection. And all of the ones interested were FEMALES.

I like it all on records. Just for the experience. Definately an honest depth given out to my earballs. Even for hardcore/metal or punk. Maybe even moreso. Metal/punk/hc on cd sounds 'sanitized' to me. Still good, but too clean if you can dig that.

I also grew up when cds were not around and the only way to listen was records and tapes. Partly why my collection is heavy on the metal. Changed to tapes when I got my first car. Saved me a step of having to transfer my records to tapes. I wish I kept on buying g the vinyl.

Interesting observations about how your crew enjoys your vinyl. That's cool and gives me hope for our future!
    Thx for sharing

It’s a period of mourning. The Dead always lived so long as Bobby was out there. Now it’s time to honor the legacy as their songbook enters the American canon.  Fare thee well, Bobby. You gave me music my whole life. I’ll never stop loving this band.

thrilled for a first spin of this. Imagining the crowd just being floored or running away scared.

Kind of sounds like sh.t. vocals are cranked. Ok $50 not well spent. Should have left it unreleased. Maybe will get better. Sounds like Rerun's bootleg recording of the doobies.

    Sucks

And I love bad brains so..well..the release has nice packaging. Maybe enjoy it another day.. or just send it off to outerspace.

I blame it on Hugh F Dillon!
