New Song Sung Blue Movie

Their ascent becomes complete when they’re in their living room and Mike gets a call from Eddie Vedder, who he’s never heard of (he wonders if Pearl Jam is a fruit preserve). It’s the early ’90s, and grunge hipsters have embraced the pop legends of their youth. When Lightning & Thunder end up opening for Pearl Jam in Milwaukee, and Eddie comes out onstage to sing along with them, they’ve basically just gone to karaoke heaven.

    I was at that show.
As I remember it they joined PJ onstage.
Eddie had the words on sheets of paper.

Hope the movie does well. Hearing great reviews but that doesn’t necessarily translate to the box office

Hope it does well too. Hasn't been a whole lot of advertising for this film.

And “The filmmakers would like to thank Neil Diamond and Eddie Vedder” is in the end credits.

I missed this thread so far and never saw the documentary film about Lightning & Thunder. They were total unknowns to me until I saw the movie today.

I knew only the poster in advance, so PJ was an out of the blue bonus as well as what happened right after the support gig and led to a pretty different second half. Alive is played
a few seconds, “Pearl Jam” and “Eddie Vedder” are mentioned in the dialogs about TEN times and there is a (kind of) EV live performance.

Just wanna say. Mom lives in an ordinary apartment. She just takes the buss to the neighboring city every other monday because they have this daytime monday-showing aimed at seniors who wants coffee and a pastry before the film. Hehe.

Let's see what mom thought on monday.
