The Boston show was awesome! Towards the end of the show, Dan said that a new album is done, he just needs to tweak a few things, hopefully it'll be out by next spring/early summer.ekwipt said:New dates added
Raekwon and Mobb Deep are touring, seeing them in Boston in December and Ghostface Killah is touring, seeing him in Providence in January.
I'm not a fan of the new school/newer hip-hop but I'm into almost anything 2000 and before especially early to mid 90's, peak hip-hop for sureTweeter Center - Aug 29, 2000;Tweeter Center - Aug 30, 2000;Allstate Arena - Oct 09, 2000;Pepsi Arena - Apr 29, 2003;Bryce-Jordan Center - May 03, 2003;Bell Center - Jun 29, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 02, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 03, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 11, 2003;Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - Jul 05, 2003;Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - Jul 06, 2003;Madison Square Garden - Jul 08, 2003;Madison Square Garden - Jul 09, 2003;TD Banknorth Garden - May 24, 2006;TD Banknorth Garden - May 25, 2006;Fleet Center - Sept 28, 2004;Fleet Center - Sept 29, 2004;Pepsi Arena - May 12, 2006 New England Dodge Music Arena - May 13, 2006;Grant Park - Aug 05, 2007;Bonnaroo - Jun 14, 2008;Dodge Music Center - Jun 27, 2008;Tweeter Center - Jun 28, 2008;Tweeter Center - Jun 30, 2008; XL Arena - May 15, 2010;TD Garden - May 17, 2010;Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Sept 03, 2011;Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Sep 04, 2011 Corel Centre - Sep 16, 2005;Colisee Pepsi Arena - Sep 20, 2005; Wrigley Field - July 19, 2013; DCU Center - Oct 15, 2013; DCU Center - Oct 16, 2013; Fenway Park - August 5, 2016; Fenway Park - August 7, 2016; NOS Alive Festival - July 14, 2018; Boston - September 02, 2018; Boston - September 04, 2018; Boston - September 15, 2024; Boston - September 17, 2024

They played a part of a new Deltron song in DC, did they do that in Boston too?DL136722 said:

Yes, it sounded great but they knew they were going on tour, little disappointed they didn't perform it live. With that said, knowing a new album is on the horizon is nice.Vitalogensia said:

I got to see LaRussell for the 4th time last night. This was my first time at his backyard shows and damn. I don't know if his shows are the same out of the VTown area, but you really need to experience it. Of course there is rapping, but it takes shows up to a higher level. Audience members are invited to speak or perform. At most of the shows I have been to there are always kids who come up on stage and rap or dance, and they are insanely good. There was this little girl there last night, maybe 2nd grader, who looked so shy, but she blew up when she rapped with LaRussell. Later, she spoke to the audience and talked about how she feels shy and unsure of herself, but she remembers to believe in herself and encouraged everyone else to do the same. She connected with the crowd emotionally, which is a lot more than many can do. This was a 2nd grader. I'm a teacher and around kids all day, so I am not easily impressed by what kids have to say. Lol. This was astounding. The whole night is uplifting and positive in so many ways. If you can, check him out when he plays in your town.1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, CaliforniaNothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights

Hadn’t heard of LaRussell; liked that song. Thanks for the heads up.0

This was good. It's actual rap. Not autotuned to the hilt. Loved it.lexicondevil said:

I love two Macs: Mac DeMarco and Mac Miller. Like Pearl Jam, both of these Macs have gotten me through a lot.
Mac Miller just appreciates good music and has collaborated with some amazing musicians. He's as good a rapper as he is a singer, too.

I watched him on Tiny Concert music Desk and was blown away with what else he did. Then I saw him on Colbert w the band and was blown away again. He had a lot more to offer. Sad that he is gone.1STmammal2wearPants said:I love two Macs: Mac DeMarco and Mac Miller. Like Pearl Jam, both of these Macs have gotten me through a lot.

Tiny Desk is so good! I was blown away as well when I discovered his music about a year after he passed. Super talented guy who was prolific in too short of a time.tempo_n_groove said:

Two years later since I last posted here (and, wow, did I ever get burned for that!) I'm still not much of a rap/hip hop fan (although one of my all-time favorite movies is Ghost Dog and all the music in that film is rap, hip hop, and trip hop) but I will say I'm thoroughly enjoying reading The RZA's memoir.

That soundtrack is epic. I think my vinyl copy is a boot cuz they didn't release it on vinyl at that time. Assuming that's been rectified?1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
