Thought Happy Gilmore 2 was pretty good.  I expected much worse.

Loved it. Of all my favorite comedies that eventually got long overdue sequels (Dumb and Dumber, Zoolander, Joe Dirt), this was by far my favorite. Watched it twice.

Happy Gilmore 2 was pretty much as good as it possibly can be.

Almost impossible to sequel such a classic comedy movie.

Watched Happy Gilmour 2 and thought it was pretty decent. I laughed throughout, great cameos. I’ve seen worse sequels.
Was good enough that I would watch again

The Decameron. A comedy about the Black Plague. It is pretty funny at times.

    Monster: The Ed Gein Story

WOW. Well, it is fucking graphic. They did not shy away from the depravity one little bit! No punches pulled in this story, lol.
What I found surprising and fantastic was that they go into the making of the famous films we all know were inspired by him - Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Silence of the Lambs... Horror movie buffs will probably get a kick out of that  It addresses a couple of other interesting and unexpected aspects as well, but i don't want to ruin the surprises. I will say that it lead me to really crave another season of Mindhunter. I hatw that there hasn't been one!! It was all quite unexpected to me.
These Monster limited series are all great, although the one about the Menendez Brothers seems really out of place. The Dahmer and Gein ones are top notch though... if you have the stomach for such things.

    Not exactly finds but:
Frankenstein - starts slow, but gets better. Not a huge fan of the actors, roles totally overplayed, but it is a beautifully shot film.
House of Dynamite- terrible. Watch the same story three times and then.......well you be the judge.

    Death by Lightning

It's really good. I'm only halfway through (it's 4 episodes), but if just the first half of the story is even mildly true to life, it is a fascinating bit of American history (President Garfeild and his assassin) that I have absolutely no knowledge of. Plus it has an incredible cast, and even manages some good humour.

Not netflix but still really good.

    A Place to Call Home.

Its an Aussie period piece set in the 50's.  Sad it took me this long to find it.

Watched this last night. Deeply moving and beautifully executed. Joel deserves an Oscar nom for his performance.

Train Dreams is definitely worth watching but I expected it to be better based on the chatter.

Probably not a movie I would rewatch. Beautiful directing and great acting though.
