    I find it very hard to believe you aren't trolling. That someone would be paying to post on this forum and who actually has your feelings... seems unlikely. I hope you're having fun with it. It does keep things a bit more interesting.

    They are going to do everything they can to discredit Mark Kelly and probably try to take away his military pension. It will get restored once a real president is back in office but the display is just fourth grade bullshit.

    Sen. Jim Justice, R-W.V., and his wife have agreed to pay more than $5 million to the IRS in previously unpaid federal income taxes dating back to 2009, according to court records filed Monday.

    The West Virginia senator committed to paying that hefty sum just hours after the Justice Department sued him and his wife, Cathy Justice, on behalf of IRS tax collectors, who said they had repeatedly attempted to recover the unpaid taxes, but to no avail, according to a complaint filed.

    I don't think this will actually be that popular with the public. In the US, vehicle safety standards are based entirely on protecting the people in the vehicle. (i.e., it doesn't matter what they'll do to anyone or anything outside the vehicle). People want to feel like they are buying a "safe" vehicle. (That's not actually possible, but some mitigation is).

    Our transportation system is undeniably and unavoidably social. Each of us relies on the masses to keep us safe. It's kinda foolish but "I want my car to have safety standards" is probably a pretty popular feeling.

    theres a rise in insurance lawsuits from sideswiping semi's. and in general trucking companies face enormous payouts.

    we are testing sideview cams and recently installed a system that records like 8k video. the fucking detail is incredible.  we have crash mitagation radar that is tied in with another cam(poor resolution and b/w which is why we adddd the other) that has lane departure warning etc.

    while I can say that cms is a huge pain with all the alerts and alarms etc, it has reduced accidents by a large degree. 

    that fact these were starting to be added by certain manufacturers is a good thing. and at this point voluntary. maybe thats the point, keep it voluntary and let the market decide.

    what the gov does need to imo is have headlight standards. flat out. always on, no bright white etc. and forbid those light bars etc from being used on the road. fucking things are blinding.
