I'm heartbroken. He was the greatest. And such a lover of music. got 3 different shout outs from Ed in Philly. Philly radio will never be the same.0

This one hurt a lot. He was the rock voice of philly. To quote former Phillies president Dave Montgomery "We lost our voice today" 8/28/98- Camden, NJ 8/28/98- Camden, NJ

thanks. this one hurt a lot. I normally don't get too emotional when someone famous/celebrity dies but this one I did. Guess hearing him all these years on the radio, he was part of my (and every philly rock music fan) life.8/28/98- Camden, NJ

met him or ran into him many times over the years but the most memorable was at EV 2009 at the Tower (can't remember which night of the 2) where he was next to me in the men's room at the urinals. I thanked him for how great he is to Philly and the music radio industry etc and we both agreed to look straight ahead while talking and not shake hands LOL0

Same. I’ve been listening to him since grade school. His voice was so soothing especially during tough times. He was never better than when rock stars passed away. Always knew the perfect tone to take, Philly radio will never be the same. RIP to the last of the old school great rock DJs.eeriepadave said:Loujoe said:
