The vile contents of this leaked group chat are, as many have pointed out, not especially different from a great deal of what passes for discourse on the MAGA right. What is most notable about it, as Andrew Egger wrote in The Bulwark, is that the people involved are the product of a post-Trump culture that rewards “the most amoral and psychotic political strivers, and has held them up as a professional ideal for the young people coming up behind them to copy and emulate. This is what they know as the ticket to power.”

But young Republicans’ Nazi turn started long before his fateful trip down the Trump Tower escalator in June 2015.

Ohio Rep. Dave Taylor confirmed Capitol Police are investigating after an alleged flag with a swastika was seen in his D.C. office.

Photos posted on social media appear to show an American flag with its red and white lines altered into the shape of a swastika in the middle behind one of his staffers during a virtual meeting.

Taylor represents Ohio's 2nd congressional district, including Adams, Brown, Clermont and Highland counties.

And while VP Vance has tried to downplay the bs by claiming some "college student exemption" —
Peter Giunta is, in fact 31;
Bobby Walker has been involved in politics since 2015;
Samuel Douglass is a state senator from Vermont.

Some of THESE “Young” Republicans are OLDER THAN ME, and I’m not even 40!

yeah yeah you ever notice when it is white people in their 30s they are "kids that make mistakes and we shouldn't ruin their lives over this", but when a minority in their teens does something wrong they do not get the same benefit?
