Jose you should fit right in. All they do is smoke, eat cheese and drink beer. And play some Dead tunes. Sounds like paradise. I would guess a Subaru might be in your future.

I was lucky enough to see him live. A few times on the road and a few times at his club in NYC.  That place smelled bad. But if you took a girl to Dangerfields you had a better chance than going to the comedy cellar.

Nice looking house and the area looks peaceful. A long way from a home in Oregon you were interested in.

Are you a handy man by chance? Handy for small repairs, that is.

This is the house I’m going up to Vermont to look at! The good thing is I can buy it outright no need to get a mortgage!
That looks beautiful. I hope you like it in person. I could buy something like that outright as well. But I can’t imagine myself living outside a big city. I love the energy of NYC. Not sure I could ever leave. At least not now.
Yes Oregon was a place we wanted to look to live in but my eldest is staying put on Long Island so we want to be close to him this house is 5 hour drive! Yes I can do small jobs around the house, after living in suburbia Long Island if I can get away for 6 months to be in a peaceful quiet area that’s what I need and still be able to live here!
Well we were up in Vermont this past weekend and we both loved the house the surrounding countryside is absolutely gorgeous!
We offered 350k and it has been accepted it needs some cosmetic work outside very little needs to be done inside! We’re very excited to get going with this next chapter
Awesome news @josevolution it couldn't happen for a finer dude!

Already drive a forester! Gardening will be a top priority once settled love cheese def like good beer and I’ll never get sick of Dead tunes! Just to get away from congested Long Island will be good for my peace of mind and get some good skiing in, I don’t need to much more than that

Good for you brother. You know the gardening season up there is about four weeks. My daughter might actually end up at UVM. It's nice up there. And not far from Montreal when you need a big city fix.

no typically Wallingford Vt gets a window between 130-150 days of gardening time and if like Joe says set up a small greenhouse you can start earlier and go a bit longer into fall, but I will be still gardening here on Long Island specially my bud crops

By plan I have about 12 years to retire at 59.5.

It depends on where the kids are/what they are doing, but the initial plan is to go to either Tennessee, the Carolinas, or Arizona.

Call me when you need me to stop by and water them. If there is nothing left the squirrels took it all.

  • And after a couple of hiccups, a minor disaster that cost me some money that I had not intended to dump into the house, we finally closed today.
