There will be expansion strictly to bring in the exorbitant expansion fees that will come from the 2 new teams. Money will be the overriding factor. They will still keep a team out of a city that really wants one badly so that teams can continue the threat of moving to force concessions on stadium construction negotiations.
I live in Salt Lake and am against getting a team. As is the case with many less than truly major cities, Salt Lake and Utah “leaders” feel we need a team to be big time. We don’t. The politicians are already falling over themselves to subsidize the billionaire owner of the Jazz snd Mammoth.

Honestly at this point AL/NL serves no purpose, and is really strong on the Old Man Yells at Cloud vibes lol. In a world where there's a DH in both leagues and you play everyone in the league it's really silly at this point. I'm all for a move to a more geographic realignment of a East/West deal.

And the All Star game should be sandlot style - two captains (starting pitchers) pick their teams right before the game starts.
If AL/NL doesn't have a point then neither does a World Series.  I mean, it's silly to have a rivalry am I right?  Imagine the NFC and AFC merging into one big league for the NFL?  Yeah, sounds like a FANTASTIC idea!

I’m against anything Manfred is for. I’ll still take him over Bud, altho some would not.

    HOF Bud.
have to give him credit for speeding up the game.  the pitch clock has made a huge difference
yanks-sox still managed to go 3:25 last night. I guess that’s better than five hours.

for sure.  maybe i'm just spoiled as a Phillies fan that they have such good pitching most of their games are in the 2.5 to 3 tops range these days.  It's so much more enjoyable watching baseball in that time span especially with the dh.  the days of those 4 hour AL games are happily much fewer and far between

Yes, we are fans of the only MLB team that emphasizes starting pitching.

it’s way better. they need to speed up football, too.

with my Giants out of it, I’m kind of glad they lost 3 of 4 to the padres. I don’t like the pads but would love to see them overtake the d*dgers. now, my giants can lay down for the brewers to help them secure the #1 overall seed.

Damn Reds had them all 3 games and Brewers came back and won 2 of them.  They are dynamic.
    Strong all around team.

What do you guys think of the NL MVP race. I was thinking Schwarber is tough being a DH. But Ohtani is a DH too.

Unless PCA torches the last month is has to be down to the 2 DHs.
I think Ohtani always has the edge because he pitches, but he stinks on the mound, lately.
Would like to see Kyle win it.

there are only two players in the NL hitting .300 or better. Pretty sad cause the leader, Freeman,  is at ,301 and Turner is at .300
