At the lake. Drove to the local store about 5 minutes down the highway. Saw a dark figure in my peripheral vision on a dirt road to my right, figured it might be a bear. Decided to take a peek on the way back. A deer had joined him:
I like how that deer is looking. Nice combo.

While administering beginning of the year benchmarks to kindergarten students, I spied this lizard in the corner of my room. He’s been safely relocated outside! Guess that’s what I get for having a room next to the outside door!

Big morning at the river before the meeting ..

Great Blue Heron. Great Egret. Saw a Green Heron. Flying with the Egret before it landed next to the Blue Heron was what I think was Double Breasted Cormorant . Aling with the usual Ducks...

Beautiful. I’m so glad you got out for a bit. A nice walk can really help clear the head.

One of the hummingbirds and a young Blue jay. Things have winded down here, I hope fall migration brings some fun visitors.

Blue Jays are beautiful but are super territorial ....ive been buzzed a few times while cleaning my gutters. They fight with squirrels and other birds all the time.....they are beefy too for small birds

    great pics
