The show has been terrible lately (when they even have shows) so I am finally letting Sirius expire at the end of this month.

Anytime I do check in to listen over the past 15 years or so I thought it's been terrible.  His interviews? Horrible.

The Vedder one was especially cringe and didn't make it past 15 minutes.

I do have a question for you faithfull listeners.

What does he actually bring to the table now?  I think his interviewing skills suck.  He doesn't really know whom he is interviewing and it shows.

Does he do anything funny anymore?

Not being a faithful listener, I couldn't answer.

As I said, I've found it to be pretty rough these last few years, meaning I don't listen as much as I used to.

I've  been listening to Howard since he was in DC. 40+  years.
I will respectfully disagree with the last few recent posts.
I enjoyed todays surprise show with Lars. Sure didn't  expect 10 minutes of Lars discussing his love for Oasis.

He could easily start a podcast if he wanted to.  It's not like he has to pay himself unless he went full Nic Cage and started buying castles and shark tanks.  And he can reach a broader audience.

Or he can go play in his money bin until he dies.  I would choose option B.

Not surprising.  I still listen to most of the new shows while skipping most of the interviews since it seems to be the same 10-15 guests over and over.  It does still make me laugh at times (Richard and Sal will never get old) but nothing like it used to be.  Robin can't even be bothered to do the news anymore!!  I've been listening to old shows from early Sirius years and it's some of the best radio ever.  I'm currently in 2007 so have another couple years before Artie falls apart.

I'll ask you then.  Do you like his interviewing style? He doesn't come off as a tool to you?  He is like a cheerleader to me now.

Barstool reporting that Sirius has cancelled the Stern show. Not seeing that anywhere else.

Stern always acts like he's leaving when his contract is coming due.

Edit: Apparently someone at Sirius has stated they do not expect Stern to renew because they likely won't match whatever amount he wants. So just speculation?

He'll probably just go the podcast route

Very boring interviewer. But remember saying that after the PJ/Eddie interview and people pushed back. Lol.
