I'm on my employer's pension plan, which is 28 years to full retirement benefits. I've got 8 years to go, but I'll only be 50 years old and my wife has already told me I can't retire if she still has to work lol. Plus, my son will only be 10 years old then and kids are expensive! I haven't really crunched the numbers, but I would guess retirement would be a viable option around 55 or 56. The big question will be do I retire from my employer when eligible and find another job or stay on and make the pension that much better? There are pros and cons to both, but it might just boil down to who my coworkers are.0

Plus most of the residents and politicians are forward thinking progressives that want the state, as a whole, to keep moving forward.0 -

17 years 3 months and 9 days until I'm eligible to cut out with full pension. Hopefully health is good enough and I won't be reliant on Social Security at that point. With no kids, we are looking to relocate, though not entirely sure where yet. Colorado has to have the early lead! Northern Montana? Arizona somewhere? Health and retirement benefits will factor in, of course"A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0 -
Well earned and deserved. I wish you all the happiness and health

Get_Right said:We have always went with Geico for auto because they really do have great service if something happens. But the premiums are out of hand and we are shopping around. NY sucks, everything is expensive these days.
