The rest of this year will be total silence.  Guessing they announce future drumming plans early 2026.  Might get a non-album USA run (hopefully the Midwest which has now been waiting 15+ years for a proper tour)

Then Maybe new album and "world" tour in 2027?
This is my guess as well.  I think they will go on a non album tour to get the new drummer reps before a new album

    I'm gonna be that guy.
I think live shows might be over.
Hey! You hush your mouth! Go sit in time out and think about what you have said!

Definitely possible. I think Ed still goes out on the road, but I would not be surprised if there are no more Pearl Jam shows. How do you replace Matt Cameron? You don't.

Only time will tell. Unless they make any statements. But I doubt that.
It's just my gut feeling. Time will pass and it will become easier to make no plan and that will just stretch

He's not an original or a 1st or 2nd to original drummer. Great to have for 27 years, absolutely! Phenomenal. But his departure does not dictate the existence of the greatest band in the last several decades. If the band were done, they would have just been done and not had a seperate Matt announcement.

Zero chance they don’t play again.

2026 feels too soon.  2028 feels too long.  So I’m guessing 2027.  Take the rest of this year to sort out the drummer.  Back in the studio in 2026 and ready to play live in 2027.

People need to stop being so dramatic.  The band has likely known about Matt leaving at least since Dec 2024 when spring 2025 was announced.  Spring 2025 tour was not what was planned for 2025 in Aug/Sept 2024 so Matt likely made his decision before or after NZ/Aus last year.

Ed quite literally said in Pittsburgh at the end of the show they’d be back on stage again in a year or two.
And the newsletter said something about, “here’s to many future days ahead.”
If the band were retiring they would have said as much with Matt leaving.

Agree. It was clear the plan in Pittsburgh was to continue. Could they change their minds? Could something happen? Of course, but the plan right now is for them to play again.

All I am saying is I would not be surprised. Shorter shows, fewer dates, drummer leaving, it will eventually lead to the end of Pearl Jam as we know it.

Foo Fighters lost their drummer in the worst way imaginable.  They’re still moving forward.  Matt was very important for all those years, but Pearl Jam will get another drummer and move forward.

On the one hand, I agree, the band is not done. Like you said, if they were, they wouldn’t have offered Matt a goodbye from the band.

On the other hand, I think at this point, Matt has effectively become THE Pearl Jam drummer. By far longest time in the band, and for a band that many of us see live, again and again, and listen to live versions of their music, likely more than their studio albums, we’ve listened to the band MUCH more with Matt. For a long, long time.
