Then Maybe new album and "world" tour in 2027?0 -

Definitely possible. I think Ed still goes out on the road, but I would not be surprised if there are no more Pearl Jam shows. How do you replace Matt Cameron? You don't.0 -
Only time will tell. Unless they make any statements. But I doubt that.
It's just my gut feeling. Time will pass and it will become easier to make no plan and that will just stretch

2027Zero chance they don’t play again.2026 feels too soon. 2028 feels too long. So I’m guessing 2027. Take the rest of this year to sort out the drummer. Back in the studio in 2026 and ready to play live in 2027.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

2026People need to stop being so dramatic. The band has likely known about Matt leaving at least since Dec 2024 when spring 2025 was announced. Spring 2025 tour was not what was planned for 2025 in Aug/Sept 2024 so Matt likely made his decision before or after NZ/Aus last year.
Ed quite literally said in Pittsburgh at the end of the show they’d be back on stage again in a year or two.And the newsletter said something about, “here’s to many future days ahead.”
If the band were retiring they would have said as much with Matt leaving.0 -

All I am saying is I would not be surprised. Shorter shows, fewer dates, drummer leaving, it will eventually lead to the end of Pearl Jam as we know it.0 -
2027Foo Fighters lost their drummer in the worst way imaginable. They’re still moving forward. Matt was very important for all those years, but Pearl Jam will get another drummer and move forward.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

You don't.On the other hand, I think at this point, Matt has effectively become THE Pearl Jam drummer. By far longest time in the band, and for a band that many of us see live, again and again, and listen to live versions of their music, likely more than their studio albums, we’ve listened to the band MUCH more with Matt. For a long, long time.you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane0
