Nagoya ‘03 is the gold standard for me- the jam goes type II!
    This is correct

My bro! Too many people are sleeping on this version. The whole show is amazing, especially the MFC>Improv>Immortality section.

There are also a ton of great versions from 98-2003 where they really went for it on the jams. It's still fun to see live now of course, but they've done little interesting with it in the 15 years or so imo.

Melbourne 3/5/98 hands down.   Amazing unique jam at the end.
I love Ed’s vocal at the end…”some die just to live, live, live, live…” (just repeats live over and over)

This is most definitely a top 5 version. It absolutely smokes!

They included the improv as the outro music in live at the garden...the band is aware how strong this sequence was. And generally agree on more recent versions, although i don't listen to a ton of the shows from the past decade or so

Same, I only base recent versions on shows I’ve been to in the last few years for the most part. I don’t do a lot a Relistening to current PJ. The shows are fun to be at, but replay value is low since it’s more jukebox then really settling in on the heavy hitters.

Is this 1994 Bridge School Benefit?
That was the first time I saw Pearl Jam Live.
I was very happy to find they worked with Neil Young.

I thought Brooklyn II in 2013 was pretty stellar.

Not completely. It’s a mashup of the original and the canonical.
Whatever it was, that one has my vote.  Personal anecdote, I was walking back from the beer stand to my seat when it started - I pulled out my phone and stopped walking to start recording a video - naturally some security idiot said I had to keep moving.  The nerve

It really was an awesome "First Time" for me to the BSB. Tom Petty and The Heartbreaker's,+++++❗I had a Tower Records magazine, with Neil Young on the cover, and found out that PJ and he were friends- and my brother had told me about the Bridge School Benefit, and I went, and it was the beginning of many adventures with BSB's and seeing Pearl Jam Live there, and on their own tour stops, in California. 😎👍

One of my all time favorite shows! Almost perfect set and it also happens to be the only time I was ever in GA! About 10 feet back between Stone and Eddie.
