It has been happening for a long time. At all levels. To suggest otherwise is ignorance about political process.
I look forward to when ICE, in an effort to appear not to be racially profiling, starts detaining white, US citizens, in the United States, on a larger scale, via grabbing people at transit stops, highway on/off ramps and other places where mixed crowds might mingle and be available to make a point.

Call your lawyer when we get to the station. It happens every day. ICE has even more discretion. Why is this surprising? Get real. There is increased border enforcement under the current admin. And yes, they may be pushing the limits of legality, but that is par for the course with this admin. Golf analogy intended.

Not true if they suspect a citizen is facilitating illegal immigration. And that is not a very high burden of proof. Full stop. And get real. Perhaps a non resident adult using US born children to cross the border.
"Suspect?' Gotta have a warrant, right? Just walking down the street, "hey that guy looks like he is facilitating illegal immigration! Detain him, move him to another state's holding facility, deny access to a lawyer and then let the courts figure it out whenever someone notices or figures out where the fuck they are."

Call it a joke, but that is what is happening. No warrant required for police enforcement. It really does not take much for ICE to act. And yes, I have never denied my position. I speak from a position of privilege. I live with a green card holder. But we are not in fear. We travel freely. Because ICE would never bother us. Why is that? Maybe because we are law abiding people that pay taxes. If you do not well then do not be surprised by the repercussions. They may be harsh under the current admin. I live in New York, around the corner from the Clintons. As blue as it gets. Bring some crab and I will buy you a proper bacon egg and cheese.
ICE will love a tip that there may be a couple who might be facilitating illegal immigration right around the corner from the Clinton's and I think I heard their house was connected underground to the Clinton's house so the Clintons are probably in on it, and many other things, many people are saying.
